The $100,000 lemon

Cons:
I have owned the CL500 for about 2 months and have had two significant problems. First, the entire sound system went out. It took the dealer 6 days to repair. Last week the car would not shift out of second gear. It has been at the dealer for 4 days and still has not been fixed.
Overall review:
The car has many pluses, but I have never owned a car with this many serious problems.

Great car for image seekers

Pros:
Darn good car. Looks great...like a sleak touring aircraft.
Cons:
Wish the performance was better. You will be blown off by a lot of vehicles...but Mercedes isn't about performance at all any more so who cares anyway...at least you look cool.
Overall review:
Not bad and worth a second look for those who are primarily interested in "image"...and now adays that seems to be all that matters!

What a freaking Rush!!

Pros:
Unlike the E55 most people have never seen or heard of the CL55. Long, heavy car but...quicker/faster than a Corvette Z06! Way too quiet when stock....have the resinators removed and it sounds awesome! Have the resinators & mufflers removed (or cut-outs installed) and you'll never want to drive another car!! Handles 20" wheels and tires quite well...but don't equip it with super-soft rubber...car's heavy enough to create it's own traction (and expensively-soft rubber will wear-out fast and cost you a fortune)! If you want an 'exclusive' ride...short of buying a Lambo or Ferrari...this super-car will do!!
Cons:
Repairs on the car can be expensive UNLESS you surf the web. RockAuto, AutohausAZ, etc... should help and, whatever you do access the MBWorld Forum for issues others have already faced. You'll save thousands in repairs!!
Overall review:
What a car!! Most won't have any idea what just blew-their-doors-off....those who do, won't even try! AMG...what a freaking rush!!!!
