A Big Waste of $24K by Van Hater St. Louis, MO on 09/18/2011. Trim: 2004 Kia Sedona EX, Owned 7 years.
Pros: Great for families with children, comfortable for traveling, well equiped
Cons: HORRIBLE gas mileage, worst re-sale value ever, only have 50K miles on it and have replaced brakes, rotors, and tires twice already and needing it again (I know there was a recall on the rotors, we had that fixed once under warranty. It caused the other above mentioned problems, but dealer would not fix them under warranty, even though they were caused by the rotor defect. Second time, although under the mileage requirements for warranty repair, we were over the 5 years time period, so had to pay for repairs out of pocket). Last time, we bought 70K mile tires, and they are worn out and treadbare after only 20K. With all 3 rows of seats up, there is very little room for cargo.
Overall review: We bought this van new for $24K. Here we are 6 years later sitting on a van with only 51K miles that gets 13 MPG and is in need of another $1000 worth of brakes, tires, and rotors. Tried to trade it in for a new car, but value on it is less than $5K. Sad, VERY sad!! Wish we would have spent our $24K on something much better!!!!

Great Van by Paul on 01/03/2005. Trim: 2004 Kia Sedona EX, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Options vs MSRP. I just bought my first mini van and Kia is it. Seem that Kia is trying to keep the mini van market affordable by keep options low to help the the msrp. You do get more that what you would expect. I got one with the entertainment sys in it and love it (or should I say the kids). Lots of pick up and go and the braking sys. seems very good. You get a lot of van for the money, and what seems to be an excellent warrenty program. For the money that you pay for the domestic brands with the options and what is standard, you would think you could get the same kind of warrenty. Hat's off to kia for keeping the price low. (You do get what you pay for though.
Cons: Not have ABS as an standard feature. I understand that it is expensive to install but that is a feature I am willing to pay for in the invoice and msrp price. Safty should not be sold as an option.
Overall review: Great van would recommend it to anyone. keep up the good work.
