A great premium automobile by 72roadrunner%20from%20Utah on 07/23/2011. Trim: 2004 Acura TL Sedan w/ 5-Spd AT, Owned 7 years.
Pros: Great styling excellent power, outstanding gas mileage well above expected. This car is solid and handles wonderfully.
Cons: Beige leather wearing badly. Creases and cracks even though leather conditioner has been applied regularly. A lot of light bulbs burned out in console and dash. Difficult and costly to replace.
Overall review: Bought this Redondo Red TL new in 2003. It has been a solid car providing many miles of comfortable driving while providing fuel economy well above what I expected. It has a Surround Sound Stereo and was the first car I ever had with Satellite Radio. It is a wonderful premium automobile that has been trouble free and still looks new, except for the creases in the beige leather seats.

Where Practicality & Reliability meet Sport Luxury by Honda Enthusiast from Michigan on 10/27/2010. Trim: 2004 Acura TL Sedan w/ 6-Spd MT, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Exterior styling excellent, attracts attention. Interior comfort, styling and features are great. Fantastic cruiser and daily driver. Appropriately powered windows and sealed well for road noise, typically Honda faults. 3.2 V6 manual 6-speed gets 29-30 MPG with mostly HWY and a bit of city driving.
Cons: Due to new drivetrain features added for driver comfort, clutch operation feel at launch speeds and high RPM shifting is not typical Honda. Having driven manual transaxle Hondas for years, I had to adjust my driving to compensate.
Overall review: Overall, I'm very impressed with the exterior styling and interior features that makes it a Honda icon. I get compliments all the time. You also get the Honda reliability, V6 performance, manual transaxle option and retain great gas mileage.

Switching to Lexus by An MSN Autos Consumer on 02/23/2011. Trim: 2004 Acura TL Sedan w/ 5-Spd AT, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Sporty look, fast
Cons: Too much inside noise, rattling. Only at 112,000 needs new transmiission.
Overall review: Was a proud owner til it left me stranded. Tramnsmission problems! I own a 2001 Dodge with 150,000 miles and a 2000 Nissan Exterra with 130, 000 miles with no problems and even a Chevy.I guess I'm more hurt, I have never owned a vechile that gave me transmission problems. This shouldnt be happening with an ACURA! So how is it that it will cost me $4200 to replace with only a 3 yrs 36,000 miles from Acura and then I need to have it towed an hour away. Another mechanic wants to give me 3yr/ 100,000 mile warranty for the same price. I was eyeing the 2012 Acura and giving this one to my daughter, but will switch to the Lexus that I wanted before I got the Acura.
