Undecided if would buy again.... by Nae from Central Wisconsin on 10/11/2004. Trim: 1997 Ford Windstar Base, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: I like the room and the comfort of the vehicle...seems to be almost too roomy for what I need it for
Cons: Seems to have minor problems with accessories (rear power window, numerous bulbs blown out), but NOW has some intake leak of some sort...has 90000 miles, so she's probably due for some repair...
Overall review: Wish i could have owned her from brand new...that's the problem with buying used. I think overall, in the short period of time I've owned it, it's an ok vehicle. I would probably buy again if she goes well over 100000 miles.

Overall review: Mostly dependable - had problems at first 10,000 - broken welds in frame/suspension. More problems at 55,000 - needed new heater core, starter, new engine. Got rid of it, but bought a new model Windstar.

Our van by Pleased in Billings, MT on 03/31/2001. Trim: 1997 Ford Windstar Base, Owned 2 years.

Pros: Looks nice, drives nice and has not had a lot of problems. It always starts, even in very cold weather.
Cons: The windshield extends below the defroster vents so it doesn't defrost well and then the wipers freeze up. It is a lot of wihdshield to scrape frost off of, and I can't reach the center. It would also be nice to have a small place to set things on the dash, occasionally. It takes a long time to warm up inside, and cools down very quickly when turned off.
Overall review: Overall the Windstar has been a great vehicle for us. There may be other vans which are better for extreme cold climates (with smaller windshields), but it has been a great car for our family.
