MYSTIC COBRA ROCKS by GOJEN on 05/08/2011. Trim: 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra Coupe, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: I have a 1996 Mystic Cobra Mustang #1015. I brought it brand new and still have all original parts. I love it except that the color on the plastic is wearing to a yellow coloring and the sun and ocean has caused the car to have wearing color over certain spots. To have it redone will cost over $2,000.00. That is the only problem I have with her. She has only 71,000 miles on her. She has only 71,000 miles on her.
Cons: I love it except that the color on the plastic is wearing to a yellow coloring and the sun and ocean has caused the car to have wearing color over certain spots. To have it redone will cost over $2,000.00. That is the only problem I have with her. Also the hob caps on the wheels were made cheaply and wore bad, but still have them on.
Overall review: DO NOT LEAVE IN SUN. COLOR WILL FADE ESPECIALLY PLASTIC BUMBERS ETC. KEEP UP TODATE WITH MANAGED CARE.

GT's Are built better than a V6 by Brandon From Bama on 12/04/2007. Trim: 1996 Ford Mustang Convertible, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Had a 94 Coupe Loved It But a Old Lady in a Land Yaght ended that for me so i bought this one love the styling and the looks you get when your riding in one of these and for a v6 she will tuck her tail between her legs and haul(when it wants too.....)
Cons: VERY POORLY PUT TOGETHER FOR THIS YEAR OR MAYBE ON ALL V6's i have spent so much time and money on that thing im done with mustangs all together how they took something that once was such a great car and turned it into this i will never know, Head Gaskets, New Radiator, Water Pump, Oil Pump, Thermostat Sending Unit, Oil Pressure Unit Gauge, Throttle Positioning sensor, vibrating noise that i cannot pinpoint, and all new seals and gaskets virtually new MOTOR......AND IT STILL LEAKS OIL
Overall review: Maybe mine was a lemon but i dont think so after all these other reviews i have read if your going to buy this year model try and find a good GT model i have friends who have them and have not had 1/10th of the trouble i have had Make sure if you do buy a v6 that you take it to a mechanic and have em once over it (50 bucks or so) have a compression test done on it and keep a close eye on your fluid levels just remember i guess it is a used car........

Very Reliable by Mustang GT Fans on 08/21/2002. Trim: 1996 Ford Mustang GT Coupe, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Great overall vehicle.. Fun to drive
Cons: Manual transmission is clunking gears. Replaced U joints but still getting clunk. Still shifts fine just annoying!! Going to take it in for inspection.
Overall review: Very reliable!! Put 10,000 miles on it and still love it. Newer model body style is calling to me though!! Thinking of selling but will miss it sorely!!!

96 mustang gt not the car we thought it would be by purple money eater from columbus ohio on 05/19/2002. Trim: 1996 Ford Mustang GT Coupe, Owned 5 years.
Pros: nice looking car
Cons: Due to the fact we have babied this car, has very low mileage, we have kept up with all the routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune ups, antifreeze, etc. within the past 3 months weve had to replace the radiator, the water pump, and now the intake manifold, and then only to find out the warranty expired last month. We are very disapointed with this car. Has also had 3 recalls for various things.
Overall review: If you would like to own this vehicle, we suggest that you are a certified master mechanic.
