Great family car! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 09/17/2007. Trim: 2004 Suzuki Aerio SX AWD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Handling is excepional, alhtough there is a little bit of roll from the car being so tall. Engine power is acceptable. Interior room is very good, extremely roomy for 4 adults.
Cons: Avoid the body skirt if at all possible unless you live in a snow free area. Lots of damage to this where i live due to snow and ice. The engine could use some fine tuning, there is a lack of power in the botton end, once the vehicle is in motion there is more than enough power in the mid and top ranges.
Overall review: Very good car, 83000km, and not one problem yet except for the body damage from the skirt making the body too low for winter conditions....highly reccommend this vehicle.

Speedy little car by JmaSterJ on 02/17/2006. Trim: 2004 Suzuki Aerio SX Base, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Pricing, gas savings, performance from a car that is built in Japan. Like the old hondas in the past.
Cons: Wish is cam with side curtain airbags for a 2004 model.
Overall review: Great car to get around LA traffic. With the price of gas today, this car will be my everyday runner. I got the 5 speed version, and it is really a lot of fun. You still can get a nice ticket from this little car.

A car that flies faster than its braking angels can fly. by haltse on 10/08/2005. Trim: 2004 Suzuki Aerio SX Base, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Carrying space, the wide, low opening is great for older drivers or those with limited range of movement. Very well equipped as standard. Great pick up,adequate gas milage for the type ( circa 30mpg) Lots of room for the passengers , managed 1000 miles on more than on occasion and wasn't sore/ tired doing so. For me, I love the digital dash, most hate it, well you can buy a new 2005 onward one that has conventional clocks.Great storage under the floorbed,
Cons: This year 2004, I find severely lacking in the brake department, they are pitiful for an alledged wagon, even worse re the sporty pretenstion of the engine. I feel that one can't safely use most of the engine for rapid progress on twisty roads. The interior trim wears through rapidly, this car may last years, it's just not going to look good internally at the end of it. Seemingly Suzuki have no interest in their dealer's malfeasance, or care if their support network fixes the car ( my experiene anyway )correctly under warranty. I tried a manual transmission first, it was awful at low speed carpark maneuvering , fine at other times. AC barely up to Arizona in the summer.
Overall review: I came to buy a Suzuki after I had rented one and found them to be far better than I had recalled , having driven them in the 80's. So far the car has had no issues other than cosmetic ( after I got away from the manual) The worst thing about them is that they are still depreciating faster than you would like,it's not a great car for renewing annually, but over time looks like it will hold together. The drinks holders are well positioned, radio's adequate though not up to the task at 80mph. I really wish it had all round disc brakes, it's meant to carry heavy loads, it has a "fast" for the class engine yet braking with a load in the back is not awe inspiring.
