I hate my 2004 Jeep Liberty.
by Sharpie973 on 04/20/2012.
Trim: 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport 4WD, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
the 4x4 system will get you around in deep snow if you have the right tires. NYC has not had a lot of snow lately so what is the point of having a 4x4. The driver sits high and has a good view of the road.
Cons:
I hate this vehicle now. I bought this vehicle used and the engine perfomance has been poor as of late. Numerous trips to mechanics and the dealer has failed to correct the problem. I will never by a Jeep ever again. I will not even accept a free one.
Gas mileage is horrible. This vehicle is so unrefined. The interior is cramped and the rear seats are only good for kids.
Overall review:
Don't buy this Jeep. Stay away from Jeeps.

The Real Jeep Still Lives
by James From PA on 05/31/2011.
Trim: 2004 Jeep Liberty Rocky Mountain Edition 4WD, Owned 7 years.

Pros:
Love the layout, excellent MPG to Power ratio, Unbeatable 4WD I could not get it stuck ever !! Had 14 inches of snow (state of emergency) our back roads didn't see plow truck till the next day, drove through 24 miles of the blizzard and that Jeep never let me down. My wife loves the short wheel base. It turns on a dime so you can take it anywhere.
Cons:
not the best vehicle comfort wise if you are over 6' tall.
Overall review:
Its got everthing you want in a SUV with the feel of a Wrangler. 2004 was the best year for the Liberty to date. In 2005 they messed up the interior design. Should have left it alone. Again best 4WD system on the market. Put it into all kinds of snow conditions on and off road, never let me down. Had it for 7 years now and (Knock-on-Wood) no mechanical issues. Holds true to the Jeep Legacy.

Pros:
Rugged, tight-handling, good visibility.

Lots of road noise--Very noticable.
Gas mileage should be better for a vehicle of this size.
Passenger door and back hatch should have key entry.
Overall review:
Kmow that you are not buying a quiet street sedan.
