Expect New Technology by Sunil - New Jersey on 04/30/2004. Trim: 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C320 Sport Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Car is excellent to drives. I drove 2600 miles. Solid car, Very safe with lots of airbags. Audio quality is excellent. Four year warranty is great. There is good chance that car will hold its value due to Mercedes name.
Cons: Navigation system is based on 10 CD in place of DVD which is surprise to me (Specifications are unclear and deceiving). Satellite radio is not available. Seats are without lumbar support uncomfortable to drive long distance. Can not play MP3 Trunk opens with a speed that can cause injury.
Overall review: Over all Mercedes is behind time and lagging new technology like: DVD navigation, Blue tooth, MP3, Satellite Radio, Choice of cell phones, good and clear specifications brochures. One should not go by the Mercedes name and explore Japanese cars like Acura before purchasing Mercedes.

Research the sport suspension package! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/14/2004. Trim: 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C240 Sedan, Owned 1 year.
2
Pros: Timeless styling. Excellent fuel economy and the sport suspension and body package provides some youthful features. Excellent braking.
Cons: Sport Suspension (A-arm bushings and ball joints squeak like mad!) Standard Cassette! Who plays tapes anymore? Watch for rear differential leaks. Turn signal switch may cause a head ache and need replacement. Auto Trans tends to hang at low speeds, but fun to use in manuel mode.
Overall review: Smooth, quiet, economical. Great car for under $40,000 except for poor resale value compared to some competitors. Noisy front suspension on sport option. Will always look great and is already being copied by Japanese makes. If you can bare to spend a little more, go for the E-class!

Nice entry level luxury car by Dietmar in Mims on 12/26/2009. Trim: 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C240 Sedan, Owned 5 years.
1
Pros: An extremely nice handling and quiet car, considering it is an entry level luxury car. You do not get nickel and dimed for options. The car already has all the features the average person needs as standard equipment. Economical to drive; have actually had 30 and 31 mpg on the highway with the V-6. This engine is quiet and has most of its power at higher speeds. You can tellt was designed for Autobahn driving: flar out!
Cons: I had more problems with this car than I expected from a Mercedes. Almost all of my problems can be traced directly to the factory, i.e.: All four wheels were misaligned--20,000 miles on the first two sets of tires. Once the alignment was corrected the wear stopped. Ecpect to get about 60,000 miles on the present set. The automatic temperature feature was not working: nothing wrong with it; it was not calibrated at the factory. Leaked transmission fluit; factory installed the wrong gasket. And the list goes on. I hope that at this time all the problems habe been eliminated. It has been very reliable lately. The car was assembled in Brazil......
Overall review: Now that the bugs are pretty well out of it, I am very happy with the car. I will consider buying another Mercedes, but only if it is assembled in Germany. I may also consider changing dealers. The service manager, while very helpful at times, talkes down to you. While many Mercedes owners know very little about cars, his snow jobs offend me. I get more honest and correct information from the mechanics than the service manager.
