Pros:
Bought this truck new in 1996 . Its been an awesome vehicle . Built tough and reliable . Just minor repairs and occasional tune up . Rides smooth . Last of the real 4x4s . I live in Colorado and frequently use off road . Never any problems . Saving this one for my grandson !
Cons:
Only thing i can think of is the gas mileage , 12 city and 16 highway .
Overall review:
Over all , this is one tough truck . Very reliable . Well built .

Pros:
I have had this pickup for about two and a half years, I highly recommend it for a first vehicle. It is a gas hog at about 13.47 mpg town. But it does very well in the winter, great runner in the summer, and fairly maintainence free. My pickup specs are: 1996 Ford F-150 xlt; 5.0 302 v8 mated with the automatic. It is on stock 29" tires and has a thrush dual exhaust. Again, I average 13.5 mpg.
Cons:
Some things to watch on these pickups are the bodies. There is almost always rusted rear and front wheel wells. The check engine light comes on almost always because of O2 sensors, it's a $40 part and simple to replace. Another thing to watch if you are looking at getting one of these is to look at the rear leafspring shackles; dirt gets caught in them and rust them out.
Overall review:
Overall, it is important to figure in cost of gas, whether or not you need a truck, and where you live. I personally am very comfortable with my pickup and even took my driving test with it! (I have the standard cab shortbed) I do not haul a lot of stuff but it is very nice to have the bedspace when you need it. Bottom line, if I could do it over again I would get the exact same truck.

Pros:
Very Good Off-Road Capabilities. My F150 turns heads.
Cons:
The only thing i do not like about my truck is the gas mileage.
Overall review:
Very Good solid truck. If you want a truck that can handle whatever you throw at it. Get a F150. They are very good at towing, the 4x4 models like mine do really good off-road, and they are just built really solid.
