Pros:
The ride is really smooth it has enough room if you have a family it can seat five easy. The power that the V6 manam puts out is great also was pulling a tralier with no propblem and easy even with a 4x2 v6 i was really happy also ac gets cold quick and heater is also grat all around a great truck giving out 210 hp . also a 24 gallon tank means lass trips to the gas station
Cons:
wish i got better gas mielage but its a truck i i get about 18 mpg in the city about 22-25 highway
wish it had less plastic inside and crome bumpers make it better but come standerd with plastic bumpers..

Pros:
Very comfortable to drive. I've only had my Dakota for 6 months but so far have not had a single problem, even on a 3,000 mile trip. Gas mileage on my V8 is 16.5 highway, 13.2 city. I've owned V8s in the pass and find this mileage about average.
The Dakota gets up to speed quickly with only a very slight hesitation if it has to downshift for more speed.
Braking is far superior to my last vehicle which was a Ford product.
I bought a model with the chrome package and am happy with the appearance. The 17" chrome wheels put me a little higher than most other vehicles giving me a good view of the road around me.
Cons:
The middle person in the front seat of the bench seat model has an uncomfortable ride because of lack of leg room and a hard back on the fold-up center console.
The truck has a slight sideways drift at high speed on a bad washboard road or railroad track on a curve. It corrects itself quickly without fishtailing too bad.
Has a small snaping noise in the frontend when turning hard while going up an incline.
Overall review:
This is my second Dodge truck and gets a thumbs from me. In my opinion if you want a full size truck buy a Ram, if you don't want full size then Dakota is your choice.

Pros:
4.7l engine delivers plenty of power to transmission.
Cons:
Interior seats are not well constructed. Have fabric bunching problems on rear seats. Leak holes in bed for drainage are too small. Consistent problems with CV joints on left side.
Overall review:
Truck performs well in offroad conditions but tends to sway too much in offset rough conditions.
