A Great SUV by Kakiana81 from Kamuela Hi on 11/16/2008. Trim: 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4WD, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Purchased this vehicle new and it is been great. I travel up and down a twisty bumpy mountain road daily and it has the handling and power for it. The brakes are good, did not change the rear pads until 65k miles of travel the front is original. Back-up alert is a real plus as is the DVD player, very comfortable car with lots of room. 80524 miles and trouble free. I love this SUV, MPG is good for this size vehicle and engine. Good on tire wear original set lasted 55k miles; new set may last longer.
Cons: Other than the black exterior door strip just below the windows looking kind of ragged (minor can be changed) I can't think of anything I don't like about it.
Overall review: For a large SUV with a 5.4 gasoline engine it is a delight to drive on long or short hauls. It handles the road like a much smaller vehicle. It is dependable and sturdy; Ive had it since August of 2004 brand new and I'm still in love with it. Clean it up, shine it up and it looks and feels brand new. Even with high fuel prices I don't feel like I would give it up, maybe later for a new one, but not right now. (it's paid for :)

Great Truck for the Money! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/05/2008. Trim: 2004 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD 5.4L, Owned 1 year.
Pros: There are a number of things I like about the this truck. It has good power, tows nicely and has lots of room. The big issue for our family is the fold flat third row. It make life so much easier and gives more flexibility. We can put up to 6 kids into it comfortably or fold the rear seat down and have room for two big dog kennels. The 4 wheel drive system is easy to use and as we snowy Canada, it gets a lot of use in the winter. I will be looking at replacing it with the Expedition Max when the times comes to buy a new one.
Cons: There is a lack of storage area when the rear seat is up. With up to 8 people in the truck (including the driver) storage is at a premium. This has been addressed by the new Expedition Max. Gas mileage is not great but it is what I expected. Faded lower plastic trim panel on one door only, is bothersome.
Overall review: When comparing against competitors of the same age, this truck is superior, hands down!

The Best Family Truck for the Buck!!! by Whiskey6 from Michigan on 12/21/2005. Trim: 2004 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD 5.4L, Owned 2 years.
Pros: This vehicle exudes confidence!! Both in looks and in handling - I like it for the way it drives and handles - my children love it both because of the DVD and the space!!
Cons: When we bought heated seats were not an option - would have been nice to have a few more bells and whistles but they are not necessary!!!
Overall review: This truck is awesome if you do alot of driving - great visibility, secure handling and aesthetically pleasing as well!!
