Luxurie and Dependability at its best.
by Glenn on 09/28/2009.
Trim: 2004 Buick Park Avenue Sedan, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
This is the best car I ever owned. The ride and comfort can't be beat. It has pleanty of acceleration and gets 30MPG at 70 MPH. This is a car that you never get tired of. It feels good all the time. Easy to park with the back up sensors great option. This is a well balanced vehicle with very little front end dip or movement in evasive manuvors. Plenty of trunk space. Great all around visibility.
Cons:
Just wish Buick still made it. Big mistake on GM's part not continuing to market it. On-Star was discontinued because of the digital transision. I felt GM let a lot of people down by not upgrading the On-Star computer in my model and several others. Actually a big loss of revinue.
Overall review:
Find a low milage Park Avenue and enjoy the ride. Best ever!!

I love my Park Avenue!
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/18/2012.
Trim: 2004 Buick Park Avenue Sedan, Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros:
I have had this car for three years. It has a lot of miles, but runs beautifully. Very powerful, comfortable, big trunk, great air conditioner/heater, and great gas mileage, too. I could never have afforded this quality car if I had purchased it new, but I'm so glad I found this excellent used vehicle. I would have recommended that others buy this vehicle, but it's no longer made. That's too bad as it is a wonderful car.
Cons:
I hate the design of the seat belts. Very hard to find and fasten. Other than that, no cons.
Overall review:
Top notch vehicle. It should not have been discontinued.

Wouldn't You Rather Have a Buick?
by Gerry Denver on 04/22/2012.
Trim: 2004 Buick Park Avenue Sedan, Owned 8 years.
Useful?
Pros:
I have owned this car for 8 years,it has 68, 587 original miles due to regular dealer service. The car gets approx 23mpg city around Denver and approx 32-33mpg highway on open road interstate highways. The ride is smooth, steering is responsive and tight, interior comfort is very good. Trunk space is more than adequate, acceleration is sure; braking is straight and safe. The large body gives an extra sense of protection, especially against small SUVs and cars. The sound system (standard Buick tape player/CD/AM/FM radio meets my needs. Power windows and door locks continue to work smoothly. The child door and window locks provide peace of mind when the grand kids are riding along.
Cons:
This is my 2nd P A. #1 was a '97 which was driven to 79,000 miles. It had more problems than space allows; dealer made me a very good deal on the 2004. I don't like GM cutting off ONSTAR analog to go digital. The analog module could have been easily replaced. GM irritated a lot of loyal customers. Buicks have been my family's choice of car since 1932 "An old advertising slogan was:When better cars are built, Buick will build them.I don't like the fact that the heated driver seat failed at 37,000 miles. The entire driver side seat was replaced at a cost of approx. $1,200 to $ 1,,400.The driver side power window came out of its track at 54,000 miles. Cost me $470 to put it back on track.
Overall review:
I like my Park Avenue and if Buick still made the model (BIG Mistake in discontinuing it!) I'd buy a new one. At its still low mileage I expect to keep it for another 5-7 years. The body is in good shape (no dings, scrapes, dents or paint fade), the ride is still terrific, and it gets me where I want to go in comfort, style and safety.

Pros:
I love this car. It has a supercharger (it's fast) and gets 30 mpg at 55mph. The ride is great and handles terrific.
Cons:
I wish they still made them.
Overall review:
Great car. Luxury, style and quick. I have 128,000 miles on it. I recently spent $700 on the front end but my only other costs have been on regularly scheduled maintenance (oil changes, etc). It acts like it will go another 100,000 miles.

Pros:
Comfortable, quiet ride. Dependable, trouble-free. Large trunk.
Cons:
Front overhang scrapes curbs and parking lot bumpers.
Overall review:
This is a reliable, comfortable vehicle that is ideal for older folks. The seats are not too high or too low for getting in and out. It has all the comfort features that were available in 2004, such as heated seats, a good air conditioning system. The backup warning system is very useful. The trunk is very generous, with a net for holding small cargo near the door. I like the projection speedometer which shows speed on the windshield. It is a large car which may be difficult to park in small spaces, but the power steering makes it easy to maneuver. I get 16 mpg in town and 28 on the open road, but I have to use premiium gas. After 4 years of owning this car, I have had only one minor maintenance incident, which was covered by the warranty.
