Great vehicle! by Leila - Ohio on 06/26/2010. Trim: 1995 Ford Taurus GL, Owned 10 years.
Pros: Very comfortable, reliable, safe ... our 16 year old learned how to drive with Taurus and it took a beating and kept going!
Cons: Style could have been better -- now they get it with the 2010 model!!! The passenger safety belt didn't work @ 50,000 miles
Overall review: Very Reliable ... looking forward to buying a used 2010!

1995 Ford Taurus GL 3.0 V6 Review by 505 Taurus 505 on 09/26/2009. Trim: 1995 Ford Taurus GL, Owned 1 year.
Pros: The 3.0 liter V6 runs strong with pretty decent fuel economy (21 mpg city, 31 highway). Great power features such as power windows, mirrors and seats which still work great to this day. The seats are extremely comfortable.. its hard to find a car that can fit 6 people rather comfortably.. but the Taurus GL did it.
Cons: Speedometer needle goes crazy at about 65 mph. Bounces from 65 mph to past 85 mph constantly at high way speeds.
Overall review: Overall, I would highly recommend a 1995 Taurus GL with the 3.0 V6 to anyone looking for a good reliable car. I've had mine since October 2008 and the only things I've had to replace were the windshield wiper blades. Got it with 115,000 miles and now has 125,000 miles and runs as good as ever.

It is a car by None on 09/15/2008. Trim: 1995 Ford Taurus GL, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: All working so far
Cons: And if others did not like and hated it so much why did they hang on to it so long?
Overall review: Keeps USA working.

Comfy piece of junk. by Marieab from Kansas on 10/21/2007. Trim: 1995 Ford Taurus LX, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: The interior was very nice. Power everything, climate control, comfortable to driver (when it ran...)
Cons: Transmission, transmission, transmission. Failed the first time and had to be totally replace at 70,000 miles. Second time at 100,000. Got rid of it then for a base model of a very reliable (and warrenty protected) Hyundai. We tried American... won't trust again without 100,000 mile warrenty.
Overall review: See Above
