An okay vehicle by An MSN Autos Consumer on 05/03/2008. Trim: 2004 Buick Rendezvous CX 2WD, Owned 4 years.
Pros: I like being able to sit up high to see. Lots of room for hauling stuff around. Had to add a rack to be able to carry 4x8 plywood. Drove from St. Louis to Seattle and it was comfortable.
Cons: Side mirrors are too big as they seem to be in my blind spot (or maybe I am too short to see over them). I can't see cars turning towards me or people in sidewalks. Is it the car or the mechanics...the brakes are awful. Looking to replace them for a second time in a year (and no, we don't ride the brakes).
Overall review: Not a bad car. My husband bought it and for his work it is good. Not great on mileage but then what do you expect from a SUV? I would not suggest buying another one as I think there are better cars that are comparable out there.

Most Versatile Vehicle by Joey from Seattle on 10/28/2008. Trim: 2004 Buick Rendezvous CX 2WD, Owned 3 years.
Pros: Very comfortable American-made vehicle with high capability. It carries more than I want to load/unload, accomodates two medium size dogs, has terrific large outside rear-view mirrors, and because there is a lever to adjust the driver's seat height, I can get high enough to see over them, eliminating the "blind spot" about which others have complained. I bought mine used and had the seats recovered in leather -- the only way to go with dogs. Great gas mileage, reliable, good looking.
Cons: There is more road noise than I would like.
Overall review: Economical, classy and/or utilitarian as needed. All around great vehicle!

The Ultimate Station Wagon! by BuickMan on 11/19/2007. Trim: 2004 Buick Rendezvous CX 2WD, Owned 3 years.
Pros: It's the size of a Camry, so it's nimble, easy to drive and park. And it seats 7 adults comfortably [some of my 60ish friends fight to sit in that 3rd seat!] or, with the seats folded, has 108 cubic feet [that's SIX Camry trunks!] of cargo space. Good mpg - I average 24mpg in mixed driving using a very light foot. Smooth ride, quiet inside. I like the automatic locks and headlights. The base stereo is good. Excellent manual heater-A/C system. Truly useful console storage and Driver Info Center with compass and mpg counter. Very effective ABS brakes. Goes fine in snow, too. Excellent quality - zero defects since new.
Cons: It needs more power for long hills and such. The cloth seats stain easily.
Overall review: If you want one vehicle to haul the kids and groceries by day and your friends and you by night, the Rendezvous is for you! True, it isn't as much fun to drive as a sports car. Maybe that's why the automotive press has been unfairly critical of the Rendezvous. They have completely missed the efficiency and versatility of this design. No other vehicle has so much space for its size, while delivering excellent MPG in comfort with plenty of useful accessories.
