The definition of bang for the buck. by Patrick from Salem, WI on 08/03/2012. Trim: 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis GS, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I just picked this car up a couple months ago with only 15k miles(comes out to less tham 2k miles per year). The room to fit six people is impressive. I am also impressed with the gas mileage for such a large car with a V8. I put a hitch on it and tow my motorcycles and atvs around with no problems.
Cons: I have the GS model and it does not have a keyless remote like the LS model does. Also, it would be nice if the the vents and floor would work simultainiously like some other cars.
Overall review: This car is the definition of bang for the buck. Friends gave me a hard time when I bought it calling it a "Grandpa car" until they went on a ride with it and witness the ride quality and room. Then they say "you got this car for how much with only 15k miles? What a deal".

A Grand Car by Joe from Pittsburgh on 10/16/2011. Trim: 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Premium, Owned 6 years.
Pros: I've owned my 04 Grand Marquis for 7 years & after 123,000 miles, I'm impressed by its durability & reliability. It's been garage kept so the body is like new & squeak & rattle free & drives & handles well. Brakes are better than average & gas mileage is around advertised expectancy. I've had routine maintenance done as scheduled so the engine & transmission have been trouble free. No leaks or oil consumption. I've used Mobile One since the beginning. The most expensive things I've had to replace - AC controls & AC condenser 2 years ago. Both front & rear brake pads lasted well over 100,000 miles. All other repairs have been too minor and infrequent to even mention.
Overall review: I'm upset that Ford chose to drop the Mercury brand & the Grand Marquis after 2010 model year. I have no doubt the new Taurus will adequately replace the Grand Marquis. However, there's still a lot of life left in this car so I won't be trading it in anytime soon.

The most satisfying ride by Robert Turlock California on 02/12/2010. Trim: 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Premium, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I agree with other writers positive statements about the car .........The more I drive it the more I appreciate it. For me RWD is an extremely important feature.
Cons: It does it all for me.........
Overall review: Stupendous value. Why not get a little less mph and get a wonderful and safe ride. The ride in some small 4cyl cars is not, in my opinion, very desireable.

american made and the quality we deserve. by retired in phoenix and love it. on 08/07/2008. Trim: 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Ultimate, Owned 4 years.
Pros: six passenger, loaded with amenities, electronic dashboard, huge trunk, 20.5 city and 26.5 highway mpg, rear wheel drive. this vehicle came in two GS and two LS versions. This is the ultimate LS version with all the options included. I looked at other vehicles of this size and dollar for dollar it was at least half the cost of the LUXURY brands.
Cons: 45000 miles and other than normal maintenance and new tires at 40,000 miles, no problems.
Overall review: great ride, great handling, extremely comfortable. great for families and elderly folks who travel. big enough yet dollar for dollar is probably the best buy for features and benefits for money spent.

A good riding car by Gordon A, Minnesota on 10/04/2005. Trim: 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Premium, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: A great road vehicle, very comfortable ride on long distance, good handling, good gas mileage considering size of car and motor, wife loves adjustable foot controls.
Cons: Car needs more standard features found on othr cars of same size. 1) LIGHTING - steering wheel controls are not lit, must hunt at night to find the control you wish, overhead controls, ie., garage door, lights etc. not lit; 2) SAFETY directional signal not alarmed for being left on, no door adjar lights or signals if any door or trunk lid is loft open. (Almost run over wife as she was getting into read seat with other passangers, thought all doors were closed, was used to door adjar light)3) No running lights unless you cover sensor on dash board. 4) can have road noise from the tires. Need to change brand.
Overall review: A very comfortable car for long trips.. easy to drive. Love the car, but could be better in standard safety features.
