2004 Grand AM, a pleasant surprise. by Phillip K, Tucson AZ on 12/19/2004. Trim: 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: I like the exterior & interior style of the Grand AM. The acceleration of the vehicle surprised me, very quick for that class of car. Car seems relatively smooth and i was a Lincoln Mark VIII owner before this vehicle.
Cons: The car could be wider and more leg room in the back seat.
Overall review: Very satisfied with my purchase, slightly concerned about owning the car for years. Will it hold up?

Cons: (No data provided)
Overall review: My overall review is that my car is great! With any new car it will have initial problems, but if they get worse then there is no need to reccomend it to others.

A real Lemmon! Stay away from this poorly assembled car. by Frank San Antonio, Texas on 12/05/2012. Trim: 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE Sedan, Owned 8 years.
Useful?
Pros: Good looking car style. Handles well.
Cons: Car moldings falling off. Dash knobs falling off. Driver window fell off track. Car pass system failed. Windshield molding came off. Ignition problems, etc.
Overall review: The most unreliable and problematic car that I have ever owned. Sold it 6 months after I bought it.

The worst decision we ever made! by sjcrane1975 on 08/23/2011. Trim: 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE Sedan, Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros: I like the large trunk space and the room in the back seats for multiple passeners.
Cons: We've replaced the wheel bearing 3 times, flushed the transmission twice, the car is about the most expensive you can find for a used vehicle. The gps port aka the cigarette lighter hasn't worked since we drove it off the lot, the driver side window won't roll up or down because the piece needing to be replaced is plastic and we'd have to purchase a new door to fix the window. This is NOT a user friendly vehicle at all!!! The gears jar you when going from 1st shift into 2nd and the reliability lessens every day. If we'd known the vehicle was this bad, we'd have NEVER bought it.
Overall review: Do not buy this vehicle. You'll regret it from day one.
