AWD and fuel economy by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/15/2010. Trim: 2004 Subaru Impreza Wagon 2.5 TS, Owned 6 years.

Pros: Very good handling in EVERY conditions. Good fuel economy. Trouble free (stabilizer bar's bushing at 160k km, that's it!), Lots of cargo space.
Cons: Seat comfort during long trips. General interior finish and comfort.
Overall review: Bought it new and will keep it another few years.

The perfect all around vehicle. by HDP from Denver on 10/11/2007. Trim: 2004 Subaru Impreza Wagon 2.5 TS, Owned 4 years.

Pros: I have the Outback version. This small car will accomodate a 4-drawer filing cabinet in the carton--dang! It is small, quick, peppy, and mighty cute. It zips in and out of traffic, fits in small parking places, and does rough Colorado mountain roads very well--has nice short wheel base and turning radius. I like the tail lights on the 2004 better than any to date. The interior, while fairly spartan compared with the Legacy, is much nicer than my 1997 was, and the driver seat is very comfortable. Awesome in the snow--I get to work every time. It starts up and takes you where you want to go without fail--I have not had ANY additional costs besides basic upkeep in 4 years/45K miles.
Cons: A mild con would be road noise.
Overall review: This is a wonderful car---my second Impreza and I'm still hooked.

I actually have the Outback Sport version of this vehicle by JD from Detroit on 03/02/2007. Trim: 2004 Subaru Impreza Wagon 2.5 TS, Owned 3 years.

Pros: Extremely reliable. No repairs in 58,000 miles. Only scheduled maintenance, including tires and brakes.
Cons: Wish fuel economy were a bit better, but AWD has its cost.
Overall review: This vehicle is an amazing value. It's like a tank in inclement weather, can tow my camper with ease, and cost less than $19,000. And it never breaks!
