Well built quality car. by Big Don from Texas on 04/05/2008. Trim: 2004 Volvo S80 T6, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Handling and acceleration is very good and responsive
Cons: Only owned this car for about 2 months and I haven't found anything I dislike so far.
Overall review: I'm nearly 60 but I like to run this car now and then and I love it's accelaration and handling. Almost as much fun to drive as my last car- Mustang GT.

No Buyer's Remorse Here by David, Seoul, Korea on 01/21/2004. Trim: 2004 Volvo S80 2.9, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Great styling, quality, performance, safety and price. 2.9 has all the power I need. Very roomy and loaded with features. Awesome sound system. This car turns heads. Big savings by purchasing through Volvo Military Sales, Seoul, Korea.
Cons: T6 to expensive. Front cup holders need better design.
Overall review: I took delivery of my 2004 S80 (2.9) in Nov 03. When I compared style, quality, performance, safety and price it was hard for me to beat a Volvo. The new modern design and variety of trim options makes the S80 very attractive especially when compared to the high price of comparable luxury sedans. Now with a free routine maintenance package it's even a better deal. It's my second Volvo and I plan to drive this one for 20 years.

Volvo S80 T6 by Mr. Kelley on 11/16/2007. Trim: 2004 Volvo S80 T6, Owned 3 years.
Pros: After owning a 3 and 7 series BMW, the S80 interior although not as stylish certainly is more comfortable than the competition. Over-all the S80 Volvo is certainly made up of great quality. Great family car that's classy and not flashy!
Cons: Warranty coverage and dealer support far behind the competition. Nobody compares to BMW's NO-HASSLE warranty coverage and dealer support. Although we love our Volvo S80 T6, I would most likely buy another BMW where service after the sale is a top priority.
Overall review: I would certainly recommend the Volvo S80 T6. Great family vehicle that my wife truly enjoys. We have had very few problems with our S80, thankfully because dealer support even under warranty has been questionable.

I LOVE MY S80 by Jason from Cincinnati on 05/14/2007. Trim: 2004 Volvo S80 2.5T AWD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I love my S80! It drives so well, and even when I drive my parents Mercedes or BMW, I still prefer my Volvo. I've had a few times where I almost got in an accident, but the braking saved me every time.
Cons: I would like more storage space for the front seats.
Overall review: I love this car. Almost everything about it is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice, safe, fun car.

Why Volvo Finishes First by Tatiana from Solano on 04/20/2007. Trim: 2004 Volvo S80 2.5T, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Power when you need it, tight turning radius, comfort in the passenger compartment, automatic seat and mirror adjustments when you open the car door, and respect on the highway for speed, appearance, and control. And price. We paid $21,000 for a rompin" stompin" piece of excellence that has only 13,560 miles on it. Sophisticated night lighting is elegant and cool, activated by punching the yellow button on the key fob. We used this the first night we purchased the S80 in Marin, and it felt luxurious after a wonderful dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.
Cons: Trunk opening is inconvenient if the car is running. It seems you need to use the key fob to open the trunk if you are going to remain sitting in the driver's seat. Unless I misunderstand, this means that you have to shut the car off, remove the key fob, and punch the trunk button HARD twice to open the trunk. I've always had an interior vehicle button to push to open the trunk in my Saturn and my Ford, which was much easier in the rain or when my school child was in a hurry to get schoolbooks and bags out of the trunk.
Overall review: I love the smoothness of the ride, the easy acceleration, and the cache of Volvo. I refused to even look at Japanese, Korean, or overpriced German cars. Ford. Chevy, and GM cars, although I prefer to buy American, didn't stand up to the solidity and Mercedes-like solid feel of the Volvo. For example, we own and love a solid and classic 1965 Mustang Convertible, but the 2007 Mustang was tinny, rough-riding, and uncomfortable in comparison with the Volvo sedan, notwithstanding the cool convertible fold-up automation. Maybe I'm comparing oranges and apples. but the Swedes have it over Ford, or had it, at least in 2004 when our car rolled off the assembly line in Sweden.
