LOVE THIS CAR by PRINCEMARKYB on 12/15/2007. Trim: 2003 Infiniti Q45 Premium, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Full sized rocket,I LUV THIS CAR. I tell the kids to put on their seatbelts ,(by the way they have plenty room back there)pull up to the guy next to me in the v8 and give him the nod,my baby never let's me down, destroys town cars ,head and neck with hemi's.
Cons: Got car with warped rotors dealer couldn't or wouldn't fix ,got after market performance rotors and pads (Recommend slotted discs for cooler brake operation)PROBLEM FIXED! Noticed acceleration lag when you want to pick a hole on the highway (freindly tip switch to autostick stay in 4th gear you'll get all the oompf you can handle)PROBLEM FIXED! Noticed that car burns oil (top off with a quart of synthetic once a month)PROBLEM FIXED!
Overall review: MOST BANG FOR THE USED CAR BUCK,FIX THE LITTLE STUFF AND U 2 WILL LOVE THIS CAR.

Sleeper Q45 by Dogs Q45 on 06/20/2007. Trim: 2003 Infiniti Q45 Premium, Owned 1 year.
Pros: This car is a true sleeper. Everyone wants to run out and buy ls 430 or 7 series bmw but this car is up there with them. It has all the features compared to other big boys for a less price.
Cons: Advertisement of the Q45 is horrible but it also gives you a car people sometimes say what is that. Acceleration is a 1/2 a second to slow when needed. Depreciation of this car is a killer if you buy it new. I bought it 3 years old for $40,000 less than what it would cost new. My second biggest gripe is trunk space. I think the trunk space should be increased by at least 20% to be comparable to a sedan but Nissan/Infiniti place the gas tank between the trunk and rear seat.
Overall review: A true luxury and I would compare it to LS 430, 7 Series BWM for $15,000 less. Has nice features like rear reclining heated seats and rear parking camera. You very seldom see these cars on the road due to Infiniti's lack of advertising but that is a good thing for Infiniti owners who like to be different. I would get this car again no doubt.

A crime to sell a vehicle with these problems for 63K...s/b prosecuted. by Dominic on 08/14/2006. Trim: 2003 Infiniti Q45 Premium, Owned 3 years.
Pros: The car has all of the features of the top of the line BMW (7 series) and the S class Mercedes. It is pleasant to drive, fast, comfortable and handles very well. I have owned (and in some cases still do) a 911 Carrera, Rolls Royce, BMW, Lincoln, Mercedes and find that this automobile meets and in some cases exceeds the attributes of the other vehicles that I own.
Cons: There are three major problems with this vehicle: 1. It burns about 1.25 quarts of oil per 1000 miles. The dealer service dept is aware of it and tries to convince me it is normal. Given that the minimum recommended oil change is 3,500 miles and the engine holds 5.8 quars of oil with the filter (5.2 without), when I have the oil changed, I have less than a quart of oil left. The engine starts making noise when I start it up. Infiniti refuses to fix the problem. There are many complaints about this issue on the Internet chat rooms.
Overall review: 2. The brakes are undersized. The keep warping causing a shaking when decelerating. Again, Infiniti Service tells me that they know this is a problem but will only "cut" my rotors temporarily fixing the problem but only exacerbating it as they deteriorate even faster with less mass. 3. The transmission shifts very harshly...to the point where you would not expect this on a 15 thousand dollar car. It is horrendous. And when you try to accelerate, there is a significant lag that is dangerous. Lastly, it has started to slip. Mind you that this vehicle has 18K miles on it...yes...I said 18 thousand miles. DO NOT BUY AN INFINTI. The manufacturer is not honest and although the service staff will acknowledge all of the aforementioned problems, Infiniti denies they exist and will not fix them.

Best car I've ever owned. by jmcintire, Connecticut on 08/04/2006. Trim: 2003 Infiniti Q45 Premium, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Effortless power from the silky engine and transmission, magnificent interior, quality of materials, magic-carpet ride, handles well for such a large car.
Cons: All of the wonderful electronic gizmos while nice to have are difficult to operate at times.
Overall review: This is the best car I've ever owned. I bought a used '03 Q45 for a great deal. The engine is a true gem. Power is effortless at any speed despite the cars heft. No matter how you wind the engine, the car always behaves like royalty, generating no more than a gentle whooshing sound as you accelerate to Warp 9. The cockpit is roomy and plush with excellent materials and tasteful design work, though the gadgets are not particularly intuitive and require some getting used to before one can operate them with aplomb. The ride is pristine and the handling superb so long as you remeber you are in a large, heavy sedan and not a Porsche. Granted I do not have any Formula One aspirations, but I find the car handles remarkably well for urban assault. Unbeatable value. A flagship for the price of everyone elses "middleship".
