So Cal Porsche 911 by An MSN Autos Consumer on 02/15/2007. Trim: 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe, Owned 1 year.

Pros: 911, what else can you say. Power in all gears.Classic styling. My kids think it's the bomb.Wife now fights to be designated driver.
Cons: I live in So Calif and this car does not run when cold. Cold is a relative term in Calif compared to rest of country. Weak stock radio. My Boxster had a Bose system that was OK.
Overall review: Love this car.I drive it about 4,000 miles a year, but it is hands down better than my 5 series BMW was, and my Boxster. Love driving it

Elegance with Refined Power by Michael from Seattle (Bothell) on 03/11/2006. Trim: 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo, Owned 1 year.

Pros: The phenomenal acceleration and stability of the 996 Turbo at high speeds in while feeling safe and very comfortable is a delight. It is very drivable in commuter traffic and does not balk. At the same time this car is quite the performer at track events, out cornering other high performance vehicles in the turns and accelerating past them in the straight stretches.
Cons: It may be the quality of the local roads or tires in general, but the noise from the tires is a bit annoying. Although the Turbo has required very little maintenance, when it does, it's usually costly!
Overall review: The Porsche 996 Turbo is a wonderful car with esthetic attributes that are unmatched. After driving one, the reader may think they have died and gone to heaven!

No other sportscar is this good and can be your daily driver by Barry on 07/10/2004. Trim: 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Looks fantastic - the 911 is a classic sportscar. Fantastic acceleration. The best brakes around. Suspension that is informative without being intrusive. Solidly built.
Cons: Clutch is a little heavy for stop/start traffic.
Overall review: This car feels as though it is carved from a solid piece of metal. Acceleration is spectacular, particularly above 3,500rpm, and the brakes are even better! The steering is precise and the suspension is excellent, giving great feedback without being harsh. The car I bought comes with the Porsche Performance Exhaust which gives a fantastic sound but also has a button to mute the exhaust note – a nice feature as I live in a quiet neighborhood. I have owned many performance cars over the years and used to race karts and yet after one month of ownership I still have not found the limits of the handling - every time I think I might be getting near the car just laughs at me. Obviously they are there but you need to go to a track to get there if you are sensible. Simply stunning and now I am kicking my self for not getting one before.
