Trina's tricked out Kia by LittleBit from Spokane, WA on 07/02/2004. Trim: 2003 Kia Rio Sedan, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Slightly problematic but 100% covered by warranty with no hassles. Snappy, zippy, passing power even with A/C on. Great speaker system stock.
Cons: Seems to wear out fast; fearing when the warranty runs out.
Overall review: Great car. No errors made in this selction.

Kia: beware the "warranty by Richard on 03/15/2004. Trim: 2003 Kia Rio Sedan, Owned 1 year.
Pros: For a cheap sedan, with a small engine, performance is surprisingly good. It is stable at highway speed, and about as comfortable as my Civic. Fuel economy is in the low 30"s
Cons: Horrible warranty service. The clutch went out at only 14,000 miles, and Kia refused to cover it. This was a $954 repair. There was no abuse, and we have never had a clutch problem on any other manual shift car. The dealer said they had 2 others with the same problem that week. They still refused to warranty the problem. After the repair, the axle fell out of the transmission 3 weeks later.
Overall review: Even though the price, fit and finish are good, and it has decent performance, the 10 year warranty is a joke. The warranty is why we bought the car, and they simply tell you to take a hike, even when they know it is a defect. Based on that, I would never recommend a Kia to anyone.

Good Priced Car when Equipted with The Basic's by Civic Fan Since 1998 on 01/08/2003. Trim: 2003 Kia Rio Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: When Kia First came out with the 2001 Kia Rio Sedan in late 2000 I was estastic I was excited. Then I thought Oh No Is The Rio Going to be a another "Bad Kia" In mater of fact it is not Car and Driver and Road and Track -Auto Magaines- They Both Gave it High Mark's for Being the Best Kia Yet at that Time. Now Kia Has Given the Rio Sedan a new Look For the 2003 Model year. But You Know what It's Gotten Down to The point where I just want the Baisic's a Am/fm/Cd player Stereo, A Automatic Transmission and Air-Cinditioning and Reasonble cost Anti-Lock Brakes. and I Can get that on a 2003 Kia Rio Sedan and it would Only Cost about $12,265 Good Price!.
Cons: All you Kia Hater's Out There. I wish Kia Has a Rental Program when you Can Rent a Kia Before you Buy. Like I wish Kia Can make 2003 Kia Rio Sedan's Available to Rent.
Overall review: Good Price and Good Car for a First Car or a Beginner Car. I'm Just Skeptical with the Re-views that were given for the 2002 Kia Rio Sedan's People complaing of "Wind Rush" Coming From Outside Brake's that Sqeak and Rattle I Just Don't know Plus I wish Auto Magazine's would throughly test a Kia Rio Sedan to See How it does for a full Year instead of Giving it a Re-view after a One or a Two Day "Test".
