Crisp and clean. by Namikuz Salt Lake City on 01/01/2011. Trim: 2003 MINI Cooper S, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I've performed about everything you can do to a vehicle being a mechanic/ Professional car builder and Proto type technician for Ford and G.M.(not at the same time) and an Advanced handeling and vehicle recovery instructor. This Mini is an absolute pleasure to drive. I've upgraded to power to JCW levels and what a difference!!. Solid ride, albeit too firm for your Buick drivers (LOL) it has 113XXX miles on it and so few issues. One of the best cars I've owned(and there has been ALOT) If you are TRULY a sprited driver, get over the "IT'S A GIRL CAR" thing and DRIVE IT!!!! It will beg for more!!! Mine is Liquid Yellow with checkered flag roof and hoood stripes. LOVE IT!!!!
Cons: I've had better fuel milage from more powerful cars. Over time the backing of the dash has worn away allowing a nasty rattle(easly fixed) Door locks are hit and miss now. I'm 6'2", 210# and kind-a-biker looking, so when I pour myself out of the Mini, I get looks like "Thats your daughters car, RIGHT?
Overall review: High praises for a little car. Well built, tough as they come, B.M.W. quallity(and quirks). As everybody claims....GO CART experience on the public roadways.

Mini Vehicle = Maxi Trouble by Coby from Virginia on 04/22/2009. Trim: 2003 MINI Cooper Base, Owned 2 years.
Pros: -Fuel efficiency (but if you factor in repair costs, did I REALLY save any money?) -Styling (everyone loves it) -Easy to manuever and park in urban areas (which is where you need to be to own one because it WILL break down and there are FEW dealers) -Drives like a go-cart (and about as reliable)
Cons: Extremely unreliable -DSC sensor failure 60K miles ($350) -Replacement keyless entry key ($125) -Windshield wiper motor failure 70K miles ($608 !?!?!, who makes them, NASA?) -Airbag light illuminated 70K miles -Three headlamps at $25 each. -Run flat tires (ride like a log truck and loud as a Cessna) Patchy dealer network
Overall review: Expected "reliable" European manufacturing. Wife's 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sport, 117K miles NO failures. You better live in an urban area because YOU WILL NEED A DEALER and they are few and far between.

Love the mini! by coop lover on 04/10/2011. Trim: 2003 MINI Cooper Base, Owned 8 years.
Pros: I have owned my mini since I watched it roll down the assembly line in 2003.. Heard the commercial from an other auto brand> When you turn your car on does it return the favor? Mini does this every single time! I love this car! Never a bad day to drive! Handles like it it glued to the road..handles curves like nothing else...Simply a joy!
Cons: That I couldn't afford the "S" Still, the coop is a blast.. Don't like the dealership's distance... Had some problems in the beginning and mini took care of everything...Treatment by mini was outstanding!
Overall review: Great little car. Good on MPG and RPM. Love driving it! Fun to let someone take her out for a spin and see the huge smile on their faces when they bring her home....Pure pleasure!
