The Ultimate SUV by Senior from Indiana on 02/10/2010. Trim: 2003 Suzuki XL-7 Touring 4WD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I have owned this XL7 for seven months. Bought with 65000 miles. Have driven around 4000 miles and I can honestly say it is a pleasure to drive. We are senior citizens and we need a vehicle that is easy to enter and exit vehicle and this vehicle provides all that and more. Gas mileage could be a tad better but the vehicle makes up for it with all the other features. We like it so well that we bought my wife a new grand vitara awd and is is the x-sport model. It also is easy to enter and exit and mileage is quite good. both vehicles perform flawlessly. We drove Fords for forty six years but thiese suzuki's beat ford hands down. Highly recommend vehicle to senior citizens.
Cons: Gas mileage could be a tad better.
Overall review: The interior is laid out very well and the manual four wheel drive is easy to operate. Goes anywhere you point vehicle. Dash is laid out very well and sits up high enough to see road well. Seats are cloth and very comfortable. FWD works well without any problems. Very easy to enter and exit vehicle without any ledge to step over. 2.7 V-6 has more than enough power for 75 mph highway driving.

Always Dependable by Khemosabi from West Palm Beach, Florida on 11/25/2009. Trim: 2003 Suzuki XL-7 Touring 2WD, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Comfortable! Took out the 3rd row seats to make plenty of room in the back. Good vision all the way around; no blind spots.
Cons: There's not many options to add after-market parts. Rims, tint, exhaust, intake... that's almost about it.
Overall review: Have always treated this truck right, I took care of it, it's taken care of me. Extremely dependable. I'm at 130,000+ miles and haven't had to replace the clutch. Smooth driving, no issues, good response, decent gas milage. I've even used it to haul larger loads. Always there when I need it.

Great value for your money. by Bob from So. Calif. on 11/15/2005. Trim: 2003 Suzuki XL-7 Limited 4WD, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Quality of workmanship. You get a lot for your money. Drives very well off-road and in bad weather conditions.
Cons: Could use a little more power. No true dislikes.
Overall review: I absolutely reccomend this vehicle.

Dependable SUV by Lisa from Upstate NY where the snow flies on 08/12/2005. Trim: 2003 Suzuki XL-7 Limited 4WD, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Handles great. Good amount of space of a mid-size SUV. Leather and sunroof are an asset.
Cons: Gas mileage needs to be improved and something needs to be done with the 3rd row laying flat. Can't understand why the seats aren't power considering having the luxury features of heated seats and mirrors. If these features were improved it would get a "10".
Overall review: Great vehicle overall.

Beware of this Vehicle by Midwest SUVer on 06/12/2005. Trim: 2003 Suzuki XL-7 Limited 4WD, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Liked all the xtras that came with base price of Limited
Cons: Where do I start? Fuel door corroded and snapped in the first year. Sun visor snapped off for no reason >$100 to repair each of these. Many interior and exterior parts are very cheap. Car constantly pulled to the left, no-one could align it correctly even the dealer. Driving was like a wrestling match. Ate through front tires in 20K miles or less. 3rd row of seats don't go flat so stuff always tumbles out when you open the tailgate. Mileage much less than advertised. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT ALL OF THESE ARE COMMON PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE - BEWARE!!!
Overall review: Stay away from it until Suzuki gets it right. Go for a CRV and get an after-market third row if you need it. I am trading mine in as soon as possible and will be very wary of buying another Suzuki.
