Pros:
I bought my 2003 baja in 2005 and to this day...it has never broken down! Amazing...I have followed my unscheduled maintanence requirements and the truck runs like the day I bought it! I have 131,000 miles on it and quality of the ride it still super!
Cons:
Nothing!
Overall review:
If you can buy one...buy it!

Update--Fun, Versatility, Function, and Reliability!
by edit_rrrr from Ohio on 01/19/2010.

Pros:
Distinctive, bordering on quirky--so it gets noticed for all (well, most) of the right reasons. Great mpg, comfort, versatility, traction--and reliability.
Cons:
Distinctive--so it is evident if one's vehicle does not appear in the parking lot at work on time!
Overall review:
This is an update to review #340735. More than six trouble-free years later, my Baja is still the best! The 150,000 miles on the odometer have included Ohio winters, one marauding highway-mad deer, endless trips to-and-from work, rare off-road escapades, and a lot of enjoyable cross-country trips, with and without purpose. No vehicle could have done it better.

Pros:
This is a very sharp and unique car with tons of versatility and comfort. Just about everywhere I go people ask me about it. This is the perfect crossover vehicle for someone who has to commute, and has stuff to haul around. This vehicle proves you don't have to completely sacrifice fuel economy for versatility. My baja has a very smooth, but crisp ride...handles better than most
Cons:
My only legitimate gripe about the baja is the, less than desirable, accelaration.
Overall review:
The Baja eliminates the need, for most, to own a car and a truck.

I love my Trar...errr Caruck....errr Baja.

Pros:
I absolutely love the way the Baja handles, my last car was a Nissan Maxima and this handles just as good if not better on dry pavement, and is no comparison to it on snow.I love the Baja, I moved a few months after purchasing it, and was able to use it to move about 85% of my stuff with it (wish i would of got the hitch on it).
Cons:
Like everyone else has stated i wish it had a little more under the hood. The other thing i'm not real crazy about is the way it sits, its very hard to judge the distance between the rear gate, and whatever your backing up to using the mirrors, so i prefer the gate down a lot. Internal temperature control instead of knobs, heated seats, and a better stereo (i even have the upgraded speakers) would be nice too.
i did have a funky problem with wind noises on the drivers side where it was making loud 'kazoo' type noises when doing about 80 down the highway in strong winds, but the dealer was able to figure it out and replaced a gusset for me, and all is well again.
Overall review:
Over all i love it and would get a newer one with the turbo if they do put it out, but i'll hang on to mine considering i've put 22,000 miles on it the 10 months i've had it. I was mighty impressed on a road trip this summer, that i was able to get 30 mpg's one a few tanks, even with the gate down and back loaded up. What i truly love and the main reason i bought it is because it handles and drives like a car, but has ther versatility of a truck for someone who doesn't need a full size truck.
