Pros:
OK, it's a beautiful car, runs great, great gas mileage, fast, once it gets going. smooth. comfortable.
Cons:
I bought it, and it needed a new transmission sensor, over 1000 bucks for that, cheapest i saw. every 10k miles or so it needs a service, full, understandable, but it's pricey and most likely a dealer needs to do it, so double the price. i luckily found a mechanic here that actually works on audis (rare). after it's all said and done, at 112K, i've had it for 2 years and put probably $3K into it, mainly services, breaks and trans censor. I'm worried about the transmission itself, but we'll see. Amazingly enough, it's hard to sell. But it runs great now and of course is beautiful, but when something goes wrong, watch out!
Overall review:
great car as long as you can afford to keep it up. really.

It saved my Wife's life.

Pros:
We had our A4 for 5 years till it was totaled last week when an out of town driver missed a red light. My wife could not be more impressed with how the car handled during a panic situation. She was traveling at 40 Miles when she hit the other car but you’d never know unless you were to stand in front of the car. In fact the insurance company is giving her the full Blue Book retail value which is 50% of the original purchase price. Last weekend we test drove an 08 A4. I’m pretty sure that’s what she is getting again.
Cons:
The 1.8T turbo had to be reved up to get to the sweet spot which was about 2200 RPM. I always though the CVT was a little slow in auto mode but the manual mode was fun.
Overall review:
On our recent trip to NH and back we used 102 gallons of gas in a 4300 round trip while driving between 75 and 90 MPH. That was the cruising speed for the car. That's 41.17 MPG for a 5 year old car. We had free maintenance on the car for the first 50K and at 50K we spent $282.00 on the vehicle. Need I say more. I have purchased two cars during the same period and have been disappointed with both. I think my next card may just be an Audi too.
