Failure of the head bolt thread, causing major engine damage. by Joe on 12/16/2012. Trim: 2003 Toyota Camry LE, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: This vehicle is a great sedan all around performance vehicle but has a major design engineering flaw.
Cons: This vehicle has a manufacturing defect that causes all the head bolts to strip. The threads in the aluminium block strip under normal driving conditions. The engine begins to leak antifreeze and overheats constantly. A complete failure of the engine follows.
Overall review: Beware of Toyota quality, the quality of this brand has been deteriorated and the dealership is of no help. Reconsider your purchases.

2003 Camry LE by BigBankUs on 08/27/2011. Trim: 2003 Toyota Camry LE, Owned 8 years.
Pros: Good gas mileage.
Cons: The car is white. The clearcoat wore off all body panels except one. This happened right after the warranty expired. Toyota refused to do anything about it. The car has 124,000 miles on it and is burning oil. The dealer said this is common for Toyota's of this year. The quality is not there.
Overall review: Stay away from the this year Camry.
