Not a good investment

Trim: 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 S, Owned 7 years.

Pros:
it looks good, but that is about the only positive.
Cons:
Transmission has problems. The radiator has had many problems and the engine burns oil even though I have taken care of the car. My engine blew up after it suddenly ran out of oil.
Overall review:
Poor

Stylish Problem Car
by Mechell from Los Angeles on 08/13/2007.
Trim: 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
I love the look and style of the car.
Cons:
Since I purchased this vehicle I have had numerous problems with the engine. The dealership is my second home. Usually the staff at the dealership are very helpful (as if they know the problems I have are commonplace). Because of the constant engine problems I do not believe I will ever purchase a Nissan again in the future.
Overall review:
If you are looking for reliability do not buy this car.

Don't waste your money!
by Elizabeth from Irvine on 01/11/2009.
Trim: 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
The gas mileage is about the only good thing about this car.
Cons:
The rear sub-frame, head lights and TWO engine recalls just within a matter of about 2 months. All have been fixed, but the dealership didn't put the car back together properly. The radiator hose was barely connected and the bolts holding in the transmission were barely in there. Not to mention they left metal rings hanging on the exhaust pipe and just cut them off, because it would take too long to fix! 4 recalls, a new set of brake pads (front & back) and a new set of tires later, it still sounds like it could quit at any minute. It makes the awfullest rattling noise ever!
Overall review:
I regret buying this car. I have emailed Nissan about the problems I've had with this car, and still haven't heard back from them. Maybe they are just too embarresed! It is very disappointing to pay nearly $300 a month for a junker.
