AWD Road Trip Cruiser by An MSN Autos Consumer on 05/08/2011. Trim: 2003 Dodge Caravan Grand ES AWD, Owned 7 years.

Pros: Excellent performance, comfort, handling. Get the 3.8 liter engine and tow package. I had a 2002 Caravan that had neither and the driving experience was clearly inferior.
Cons: A bit more cargo room behind the third seat. Wish the second row windows rolled down. Some minor repairs over the years. The worst was a broken valve spring going up a steep grade at 75 miles per hour and sustained 5000 rpm on the tach at 125,000 miles. I guess I kind of deserved it.
Overall review: This is the best auto I have ever owned. All wheel drive provides great snow handling. The towing package firms up the ride and handling compared to the models without tow package. The 3.8 liter engine provides a noticeably improved driving experience over the 3.3 liter. The dark blue leather interior looks new after 8 years. I have driven this vehicle hard, but have taken care to maintain it well. Regular synthetic oil changes and transmission services. Synthetic oil has increased the power and performance of the engine and made it run more quietly. It has 130,000 on it and I hope to take it to at least 200,000.

Red Mini-van by Pkg Man on 10/30/2003. Trim: 2003 Dodge Caravan Grand ES FWD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: Screen in top center of windshield is a real plus for improving visibility.
Cons: The 16" wheels make the vehicle higher thatn previous models and make entry more difficult for old people and short adults. A handhold for the right front passenger near the top of the windshield like those in vehicles by other mfrs would be most helpful.
Overall review: Liked my 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager better in terms of ride, enty ease. New requirement for oil changes every 3000 miles to protect warranty is a real pain.

Northwest Grandma by Jam from Belfair on 08/14/2003. Trim: 2003 Dodge Caravan Sport, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: It is stylish, gets good gas mileage, is easy to handle, and basically a very comfortable vehicle.
Cons: The sun visors are too low, causing me to twist around to see the traffic lights. The cotton-picking emergency brake release is so far down and back that it takes a double-jointed person to release it. I also miss the storage drawers under the seats that were in my last caravan.
Overall review: Basically, a very good vehicle so far. With a few improvements with women in mind, it could be terrific.

always was, still is, and always will be the industry standard by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/31/2003. Trim: 2003 Dodge Caravan Grand ES FWD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: great build quality...engine has lots of torque and i was able to get more power out of it, lots of cargo and passenger room, looks, smooth ride...handles better then honda or toyota
Cons: could use fold down 3d row seat although i found out it will get one later this year
Overall review: when getting a minivan, the only cross shopping that should be done is dodge caravan (mainstream) or chrysler town and country (upscale)...chrysler still rules the minivan industry...can't wait for 2006 when new vans will set the standard that honda and toyota wish they defined, they just copied
