| Pros: |
| i currently have over 90k in this car. its my college car, drove back and forth from san francisco to LA for 4-5 years, never a problem. now as its getting older, still has good gas mileage....before i'd drive from s.f. and get to LA with 1/4 tank left, and by the time it ended the tank would have driven a total of 440-450 miles. now that im in LA, i average about 350 per tank which comes to about 30 mpg. it eats it faster if you drive faster, but generally speaking its a good car for gas.
other goods--the interior, design, space, its actually spacious from the back, allowing for three adults to sit. |

 |
| Cons: |
| i got new tires, a new mp3 radio. the breaks are starting to shutter when stopping at high speeds, but i think i need to resurface the discs/pads. the doorlock has stopped working on the driver's side. |

| Pros: |
| I am 53 and consider this car a constant memory of when I was a kid driving a go kart. Fun, fun, fun....small, nimble, quick, extremely reliable, fuel efficient, likes higher revs during acceleration, stops fast, and has suprisingly well made bolstered seats for both the driver and the passenger up front. Stock audio is what I would expect vs. what the younger generation demands. My EX Coupe has consistently given me 32 combined and 37 on the hwy. |

 |
| Cons: |
| Being 53 and with some minor lower back issues I can tell that unless I am on smooth roads all the time (definitely not in Louisiana) I am going to have to eventually move up to an Acura or an Accord for a smoother ride. Would have liked seeing disc brakes all the way around vs. drums on the rear wheels. I have done all of the minor maintenance tasks myself without any problems or difficulties. There really aren't any 'Cons' per se because being a Honda it is just so well built and reliable. My niece was the original owner and put the Fuzion HRi tires on it two years ago and that explains a lot of the ride quality. I figure Michelin touring tires will civilize the ride considerably. |

| Overall Review: |
| Reliable, Dependable, Fuel Efficient, Safe, Excellent Handling, and reasonable insurance costs. Very low cost of ownership due to Honda build quality and reliability. This is my 2nd Honda and having owned many vehicles I am inclined from now on to simply buy either Honda or Acura. I have never had a 'negative' ownership issue with either car and neither has anyone in my family. You only get what you pay for....I have always known that some cars are 'Keepers' and some are not. This one is a 'Keeper'; if not for me in a year then for my kids down the road. |

| Pros: |
| Great driving position for taller people. It got excellent gas mileage for an automatic 27/29 in city, and 38/40 on highway. I liked the rear floorboard and how it was flat for all three passengers. I drove 45,000 miles in two years, and no engine problems! Great dash layout for radio/HVAC controls, and the speedometer lighting was really cool at night. The car had excellent resale value. |
|
 |
| Cons: |
| Factory tires were horrible! I replaced them at 23,000 miles with Yokohama Tires which made a difference in some ride quality. Slow acceleration going uphill and when merging on freeway with auto. transmission. |

| Overall, you can't go wrong with these Civic's. This was my 3rd Honda; an 83 Accord, 92 Acura Integra, and the Civic. I'll be buying an 89 model soon! Look for the 88-91, and 92-95 models for a great cost/benefit factor. |

| Pros: |
| I like the styling of this model. it is very sleek, and trim. I like how the headlights and tail-lights are constructed on the '03 versus the newer models with the more European style lights. It still gets the 30mpg city the factory said it would. it handles curves and turns like a breeze, accelerates and brakes well. I have not had any problems yet. I take it in every about 5,000 miles as recommended. The LATCH system for infant and child car-seats works great - holds the seat firmly in pace according to standards for child safety. I couldn't be happier! |
|
 |
| Cons: |
| The only dislike is the computer is programmed to turn on the "Maintenance Needed "Light for the 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, etc. miles even if you recently took the car in for the usual oil, lube and filter. The way to turn it off on your own is kind if hidden in the manual. |

| It's a great car for the budget savvy consumer. |
