Fun, but Expensive by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/09/2010. Trim: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, Owned 4 years.

Pros: The seats are very comfortable and it is luxurious for an SUV. It pulls a boat well and handles well in the snow.
Cons: We have had problems with this Jeep since we bought it. Most recently, we had to pay $4000 because the axle had to be replaced in the front end. The dealer had "no idea" what had happened to it. It has nickel and dimed use about to death in little repairs until this giant one. It seems to always need to be in the shop, and only has 65000 miles. We had great experiences with previous Jeep Cherokees, but will never buy another Jeep product after this one.
Overall review: I love the looks, if we could manage to keep it out of the shop and on the road.

Nothing like a Jeep by Joe on 03/26/2009. Trim: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD, Owned 5 years.

Pros: Very comfortable, fun to drive. This Jeep can go almost anywhere. Always can drive with peace of mind in bad weather, winter storms, heavy rains...etc. The 4x4 with Select Trac is what you need, this is the way to go. Give the drive the option of 4x4 or 2x4 on the fly great design. This is my second Jeep and would not hesitate to get another. I have a 4.0 litre, gas is not great but the overall need makes it worth it. I get about 18-19mpg city, and 22-24mpg hwy. Nothing like a Jeep.
Cons: Many Jeep owners have problems with the 'blend doors' part of the heating / cooling system. Expensive to repair ( about $900 min.) . Keep the Jeep well maintained and repairs will be minimal. Follow the maintenance schedule for major potential problems. Change the oil regularly.
Overall review: This is a great vehicle, very reliable and is easy and fun to drive.

A Keeper by Disappointed in Ski Country on 08/30/2012. Trim: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD, Owned 9 years.
1
Pros: 177,000 km on it. Not as great road feel as my 1993 JGC but Ok. Power to merge onto limited access highway and revs only at -1500 at 80 KPH. Last year of the inline 6 cyl. Simple dials on dash, full, real gauge cluster. Comfortable seats, crummy cloth but made my own spiffy seat covers. Flat back seat when folded, like a dining room table. Spilled oranges don't roll when the car is not moving. Long enough in back for 7 foot long cross country skiis kitty corner and can get a 30"hx24"wx36"l dog crate in back with room left over. Nice high seating area and gets me through 2 feet of snow when it has too. Averaging 21 MPG imp. combined city/highway with driving time equally split.
Cons: Steering column has a clunk in warm weather, not cold. Has been replaced 3 times, Jeep can't seem to fix. Does not affect handling but is kinda scary though I'm assured the wheels will stay on and it will go straight. Window trims are rull of rust and will have to be replaced. Purely cosmetic. One small rust spot at a wheel opening to fix. Some road noise from the roof rack, I've gotten used to it. Terrible wind concussion if opposing windows are down the same amount, simple remedy-one nearly closed, other further down.
Overall review: A good vehicle. Think I'll keep it for a bit yet.

Its been great, but we have the 4.0, which is no longer available by Al in Colorado on 03/10/2010. Trim: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD, Owned 7 years.

Pros: Good mileage Dependable Trouble Free
Cons: No built in ashtray Headlights not bright enough Brake rotors prone to warping.
Overall review: Its been very good to us. Our has over 155,000 mile on it now and running strong. I bought it with the 4.0 Liter inline 6 and it normally averages 20.5 or better mpg per tank of gas. Also performs very well in the snow. It is not unusual to get a foot or more at one time in our neighbor here in Colorado, and we have never hesitated to get out and make a run to the store in this vehicle. Often we need to drive around other stranded SUV's and sometimes use the center unpaved medians to get where we are going. This one has never failed to climb out.

Rest in peace my good friend by An MSN Autos Consumer on 06/10/2009. Trim: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 2WD, Owned 6 years.

Pros: Powerful, responsive, stylish, comfortable, safe, and well mannered SUV. The stereo controls on the steeringwhell rock!
Cons: gas mileage poor, sunroof leaks
Overall review: I am saddened by the loss of my jeep. Bought brand new, 6 years and 82,000 miles. It was totaled in a rear end collision by a Chevy truck but held up very well. I had trouble with the power steering pump, window regulators, emission sensors, and AC control problems. Local dealer in Dallas was not good at fixing things right the first time.
