GLS Wagon by Morticcia from Malden, MA on 04/16/2003. Trim: 2003 Volkswagen Passat Wagon GLS, Owned 1 year.
3
Pros: Just about everything..see below.
Cons: For some reason when you open only one window a bizarre popping sound and pressure occurs. Must be an air vacuum. It is immediately alleviated by closing all the windows or opening up a second. Wish our wagon was more fuel efficient. Wish there wasn't a coil problem!
Overall review: We love our Passat and would recommend one to everyone.

Great turbo Wagon by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/11/2011. Trim: 2003 Volkswagen Passat Wagon GLS, Owned 1 year.
2
Pros: Great gas MPG for a car this size. Plenty of feats. Great build quality.
Cons: Burns oil. Sometimes a whole quart ever 1000 or so miles. Requires dealer specific syntec oil which is very hard to find at local shops. Ignition coils failed repeatedly. Pass heated seat stopped working. Power outlet stopped working.
Overall review: This is an excellent car when its working. But can tend to have annoying problems at the most inconvenient times. It is an overall great car with many feats offered in bmws and merc. but this cars reliability is a another story.

Great Car, but plagued with problems. by Nancy on 10/17/2010. Trim: 2003 Volkswagen Passat Wagon GLS V6, Owned 7 years.
1
Pros: Decent gas mileage. Love the AWD and handling. Good visual all around. Great squared off cargo space and back seats that fold flat. Typical good German engineering.
Cons: Way too many problems. Oil consumption issues, spark plug issues. Starter issues, shifting mechanism issues, brake issues. And the logos fall off the wheels. The glue comes loose. I've lost all 4. Didn't replace the last one.
Overall review: I LOVE this car, but it is UNRELIABLE.

Great vehicle by Coloradofire364, Colorado on 07/08/2009. Trim: 2003 Volkswagen Passat Wagon GLS, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros: Very good gas milage for a vehicle of its size. It easily gets 30mpg highway. Comfotable to ride in and drive. Plenty of power for quick acceleration.
Cons: The windows fog over very easily and take longer to clear that other vehicles I have owned
Overall review: I have been very happy with this vehicle. I would recommend it to anyone.
