THE Single worst car ever! by On the lift again in Ohio on 06/11/2012. Trim: 2003 Volkswagen Jetta Wagon GLS 1.8T, Owned 1 year.
Pros: It get me around when it is not in the repair shop
Cons: Everything! The most unreliable vehicle!
Overall review: I can say without exaggeration this is the absolute worst car I have ever had the misfortune of owning. Within a mere 15 months I have been forced to spend over $5,000 in repairs! This includes the catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, cylinder coils, fan belts, wheel bearings, suspension bushings, struts, break rotors & pads, all 4 tires, water pump, thermostat, the entire exhaust system, and other parts I can't recall because there's so many, and because it is German everything costs more and is more difficult to fix. Fahrvergnügen? More like Far from moving. Avoid at all costs!

2003 VW TDI GLS Wagon by New York on 08/15/2011. Trim: 2003 Volkswagen Jetta Wagon GLS TDI, Owned 8 years.
Pros: I am the original owner of this 2003 VW TDI wagon. It just registered 150,000 miles the other day. The wagon is primarily used for commuting 100 miles a day. The TDI is a very reliable.
Cons: A engine heater block should come standard with the TDI models (an after market heater was installed). The air conditioning must be run wide open to maintain an acceptable level of comfort.
Overall review: The TDI is a very reliable car and I would recommend it to anyone.

Fuel efficiency rivals hybrids! by Steve on 06/29/2004. Trim: 2003 Volkswagen Jetta Wagon GLS TDI, Owned 1 year.
Pros: The reliability, fuel economy and
Cons: The head rests have to be removed to fold down the rear seats, and when the seats are folded down, there is somewhat cramped leg space for the driver.
Overall review: Volkswagon has packed performance, safety and convenience features into this car that one would expect from something priced considerably higher.

Great family vehicle by Just another driver on 03/18/2004. Trim: 2003 Volkswagen Jetta Wagon GLS TDI, Owned 1 year.
Pros: handleling and overall view of the road
Cons: needs more room for the baby seat. When the seat is located in the back seat the driver has to push the drivers seat and the pasenger seat foward limiting the leg room.
Overall review: great vehicle and I'll recomended to anyone.
