MY GT
by Muscular from West LA on 07/08/2003.
Trim: 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT1 Coupe, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
The seats are extremely comfortable especially on long trips, your back doesn't get tired. The acceleration is great! Gas mileage is great for a V6. The exterior looks are fabulous. THE MONSOON RADIO IS TOTALLY AWESOME DUDE
Cons:
Gas mileage with A/C on, the buttons on the steering wheel are on the cheap side
Overall review:
I have always been a GM brand buyer. I moved up in size from a Cavalier and it was a good move. The size is just right, the performance is great, sound system is stoked, styling is great (once I get the SC/T hood).

I'd recommend this car to anyone looking for MPG, and a comfortable reliable vehicle.

A good and sporty car
by Carrie... Utah on 04/08/2012.
Trim: 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT1 Sedan, Owned 5 years.
Useful?
Pros:
Acceleration, body style (mine has the "ribs", fake ram air ducts on the hood, spoiler, and sunroof) The Monsoon system has always been a hit with my "audio" friends. Very few issues mechanically. Child safety locks have been very useful along with window locks! I've always liked the "rougher" sounding engine upon start up. This isn't your grandma's car.
Cons:
For multiple people going on a trip- the trunk lacks a little space. Not good leg room in the back for taller people.
Overall review:
Overall, I have had this car for 5 yrs. It has around 128,000 miles currently. I have put 101,000 of those miles on. Only a couple things have been replaced/repaired with the car, such as tires and catalytic converter. The car runs great and I have and continue to maintain a pretty strict regime for oil changes.

2003 Pontiac Grand am SE
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 06/10/2010.
Trim: 2003 Pontiac Grand Am SE Sedan, Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros:
The Motor size verses fuel economy. For a car that has a V6 I have calculated upwards of 31.5mpg, which for a mid size car with a V6 is very good gas mileage.
Cons:
One of many design flaws in the Grand am, the V6 is heavy, putting more strain on all the suspension parts and well as the wheel barrings. Be prepared to replace everything on the front at least once in 4 years.
Another design flaw is the rear part of the car. Rear light assembly is not protected from the elements. If you live in the North, be prepared to replace the light assembly.
The handling of the car is ok. For a low profile vehicle it has too much movement from the car in cornering. This may have to do more with the single axle in the rear.
Overall review:
It isn't a bad car, but not a great car either. I have seen some listed at $9000-10000 with low mileage. Not sure it's worth that, unless there is a great warranty to cover the cost of repairs, they are costly.
