great car
by Spudman from Northern Utah on 03/02/2007.
Trim: 2003 Buick Regal LS, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
We bought this car brand new in '03 and it currently has 78,100 or so miles on it. To date only normal maintanence with the car with the exception of the stock battery died roughly 200 miles ago and when those batteries die it sure lets you know because the whole car acts like it got short circuited (if this has happened to you you will know what I mean). It rides well for any distance of driving, has good power and when the driver cruises with constant speed it gets quite impressive gas mileage! We love the sun roof most of the time except for when I wear my hat as the ceiling is lower and it handles a full load of adults well enough. Many positive things to say with this car.
Cons:
I dislike the 'wood' accents around the window switches and around the gear shift selector, they are out of place and with the little amount that there is with it you would think they would have gotten ride of it completely. The drink holders for the driver is in the way when you change gears but the one thing is they do hold large glasses! We had a problem with the dash cover over the front passenger side airbag coming up and getting loose but the dealer replaced it and no problems since. A note for when you do change the battery, be ready to pull of brackets and the fuse panel cover because they gave you NO space to work with, really hated that.
Overall review:
We love this car! The traction control works great in snow and it handles well in all weather. Not one thing has quit working or given us any trouble and that is something good to say with this car. In the past we have had a Taurus (ford)and Accord (honda) cars and this has been the least problem-matic of the 3. It isn't made of tin and has a good quality to it, the ride is quiet and secure feeling. I wont say this is the greatest car ever but it is something close to it and we for sure will consider Buick when we go to replace this one, we will just have to try the LaCrosse now because they don't make this model anymore. Compared to the Taurus and the Accord we haven't had to repair this car at all, the accord had a computer problem at 92,000 miles and I was greatly unimpressed with it, the Taurus didn't have anything big to fix. This is a great car to consider when looking around, it has worked well for us so do consider it in your shopping!

Small for me!
by Teddy - New York on 01/25/2004.
Trim: 2003 Buick Regal LS, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
This car is a Buick and hopefully has the Buick Quality that I was used to and hope for. Good looking and fast enough to have some style for a 45 Yr. old!
Cons:
No space inside like previous models. I was used to my 92 Regal and loved it. This car is smaller and billed as a 5 passenger, don't believe it. People are bigger than they think I guess.
Overall review:
Although I do not foresee myself keeping this Regal 10+ years as I did my 92, I will keep it for sometime. The Insurance is higher than I had hoped but it is American made.

EXCELLENT AMERICAN VALUE
by TAMPA, FL on 11/18/2008.
Trim: 2003 Buick Regal LS, Owned 2 years.
Useful?
Pros:
Looks good, especially for a Buick sedan. Adequate handling and punchy acceleration when not loaded down with passengers and cargo/luggage. Stereo is great for a basic system. Tape player has come in quite handy for using my MP3 player. Seats are comfortable, & the leather has not worn excessively considering I have put 40k miles on my Regal in 3.5 years. Trunk is roomy enough to carry more than just lugagge. Sunroof is great. Fuel economy is satisfactory for a V-6 being operated by a lead-footed driver. Still average 26-28 MPG HWY and 19-21 MPG in town. As much as this car has sat in my drive way under Florida and Mississippi summer suns, the Augusta Green paint still shines brightly.
Cons:
Only thing to break in 3.5 years & 40k miles was the center console cup holder contraption; cheap and flimsy. Knew it would go at some point, so no surprises. ZERO engine, elec., mech., tranny, heating/cooling, brake, interior, or ext. problems w/this car. Replaced the battery @ 73k miles & tires @ 55k miles. LS model's 200HP are a bit inadequate for 3+ medium-large passengers for off the line acceleration & HWY passing, but this is not a real "con" of the car, just a driver's "wish" for more. This is not a Lexus or a BMW; don't expect a vault of silence once you close the doors & start driving. It's simply a great value 4 the $. ONLY problem I have w/this car is the cupholder, period.
Overall review:
I purchased my used 2003 Regal after a fair bit of research online and speaking with my trusted mechanic. He described the 3800 series GM V-6 that was common to Pontiacs, Chevys, Buicks, and Olds as "bulletproof." I knew it beforehand and felt bolstered by his opinion. Buick might have the "grandma and grandpa" reputation, but it also has a much better quality history as of late than the other GM badges. The 2003 and 2004 Regals were the last 2 years of this model, and the best. I would recommend this car to anyone who wants 4 doors, leather, good acceleration, good looks, quality assembly, dependability, comfort, and valuer for their money for years to come. These cars are sill easy to find and still great deals. I got a little bit of flak, initially, from friends & family 4 being a 31 year old driver of a Buick. Not anymore. I get compliments @ car washes, and from friends who ride in it. My parents love driving my car, instead of their huge LeSabre. Money very well spent!!!

Trim: 2003 Buick Regal LS, Owned 5 years.
Useful?
Pros:
Ilike every thing stated above but most of all this model dosen't look 6 years old. Infact I still get compliments on it. Knowing a little about cars and simply reading the manual I changed accessories before they went bad.
Cons:
Radio and console is poorley made.
Overall review:
The Rega LS is a Limited Edition and the last one was made in 2003. I would definitely buy another.
