A powerful wagon
by Saturn Owner on 02/01/2006.
Trim: 2003 Saturn L-Series Wagon LW300, Owned 2 years.
Useful?
Pros:
This car is very comforitable to drive. It comes standard with lots of safety and power. You can see around the vehical well, unlike suv's and mini vans. It get's 25+ MPG and for a 6 cylander that's not bad. It's great for hauling kids and all the extra stuff that busy Moms like me need to drag around all the time.
Cons:
I don't like the light colored seats. Darker is more practical.
Overall review:
Overall I'm sad their are not more wagons like this available.

New Saturn Fan
by Mike, VA on 06/22/2004.
Trim: 2003 Saturn L-Series Wagon LW300, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Comfortable, good gas mileage, little to no maintenance, handles very well, sound system peforms great, all around a great car...
Cons:
Trans drops to lower gear when climbing an incline, utilizing speed control, resulting in a sharp RPM increase, more annoying than a problem
Overall review:
I cannot believe how much a love this car. I am in it for at least 3 hours a day, 100 miles roundtrip in DC traffic. Average about 28 mpg. Have owned this car since Oct 03, and have almost 20K miles on it. No problems... Just change the oil and filters, and she will do the rest... If you are in the market for a wagon, be sure to check this one out. For under 25K you are going to have a hard time beating this one... The only one that comes close is the Passat Wagon, but VW's history over the last few years is suspect at best, plus who wants to spend the money on premium fuel???

European styiing in a big wagon
by amacguy on 03/02/2004.
Trim: 2003 Saturn L-Series Wagon LW300, Owned 2 years.
Useful?
Pros:
It's spacious compared to other makes, fast accelerating. The doors have polymer panels to repel scratches and dings. My Black Lab loves to ride in the very back. Its distinctive on a lot, because I've seen very few of them! Gas mileage-at least 22 in the congested city.Comfortable ride.
Cons:
only 2/3 steering wheel available for hands; with 5 passengers, no space for carried items, even a purse; no key hole on passenger side; cold air leaks in on passengers R leg in cold weather; when heat reaches desired temp it shuts off & cold comes on; window controls very cumbersome, placement requires looking down. Automatic headlights.
Overall review:
A great engine, rides under easy control even at high speeds; good mpg. not a hot car with theft risk. Side and front air bags for front seat passenger protection. Stands out from the look-a-likes. Lacks storage places in front seat; Poor insulation from front firewall, heater works mysteriously and inaccurately. Hiding compartments in the rear, including retractable cover, plus mesh to hold up grocery bags - lots of features.
