Very Solid Car
by Minnesota Santa-Clause on 09/26/2008.
Trim: 2003 Buick Century Custom, Owned 5 years.
2
Pros:
The first 80 K miles on this car have been excellent. Average 27 MPG highway. Very roomy trunk and interior. Durable materials. No mechanical repairs - not even a light bulb. Normal maintenance such as breaks, tires, and battery are only costs so far. Not ever a rattle at 80K.
Cons:
I've never liked Anti-lock breaks in any vehicle, this included. But most have them now. You have be be quite close to vehicle for the keyless entry to work and even when you hit it twice, at times the other three doors don't unlock.
Overall review:
This is, in my estimation, the best American car under 25,000. It is as solid and dependable as my Honda Civic.

The dependable car
by MJ from Florida on 01/03/2009.
Trim: 2003 Buick Century Custom, Owned 6 years.

Pros:
I rate this #1 for performance. It is the best handling car I have ever owned, especially for Interstate driving.
Cons:
Only objection is the dash vents. Cannot be adjusted
as I would like. Otherwise, heat/air output is fine.
Overall review:
Again, my rating is #1

30 mpg + in CO
by Don CO Buick on 10/25/2008.
Trim: 2003 Buick Century Custom, Owned 6 years.
1
Pros:
Excellent mechanical quality. 30mpg plus. I drove it 272,000 miles, and gave it to my son a year ago, who put another 18,000 miles. No repairs needed. We chose to do a preventive replacement of the head gaskets for $200. The brakes routinely last 100,000 miles, and normal Goodyear tires last the same 100,000 miles
Cons:
Seats are too soft for long trips, yet comfortable for short trips.
Overall review:
Excellent value, routinely attained 30mpg highway, and only slightly less around town.
