The best truck/family vehicle
by Ronda from Washington on 02/16/2009.

Pros:
I bought this rig in 06 haven't had a single problem with it hasn't even coughed. Great gas milage, even when drove through Utah and Wyoming at 80 miles an hour. It handles great wind rain snow ice nothing bothers this rig its as sure footed as a mountian goat. I didn't think I would find a rig I liked as well as my Chevy Astro All Wheel Drive but this rig beats it. I do have the overload springs so I can load it down with some really heavy things and I cant tell its back there.
Cons:
Non that I can think of
Overall review:
Excellent rig

Happy Tahoe Owners

Pros:
(At 55,000 miles in 2009 - we bought the 03 Tahoe brand new): Very comfortable SUV, lots of power, dependable vehicle. Great on the highway. THE BEST in Colorado snow. The tri-zone temperature controls keep everyone happy and comfortable. Love the relatively short turning radius for a vehicle of this size. Mileage? We have gotten 21 mpg flying across Wyoming at 80mph. City mileage is still a couple miles/gal. better than our old Explorer - just pay attention to good driving habits. The 5.3 liter V8 engine is also flex fuel. Great service at our local Five Star Cadillac dealer. Great for towing - it's got what it takes. We love GM products.
Cons:
There have been a few fairly minor maintenance issues, but no deal breakers. The radio needed replacement twice. Warranty service has been great - no complaints.
Overall review:
We love our Tahoe and would buy another in a heartbeat - Go GM!

2003 Z71 Owner
by debbie on 07/10/2007.
Trim: 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
I like the safety and security of a heavy vehicle. Smooth ride and can get 20 miles per gallon on
the open road. Normally get 17 milles per gallon with everyday diving.
Cons:
78,000 miles I had a catastrophic transmission failure. Maintained my vehicle well, never towed
anything. Two weeks later new actuator. Can count on one hand the number of times I used the 4-wheel drive feature since owning this vehicle. Disappointed and not what I expected in this vehicle.
Overall review:
I still love my Z71; just disappointed. Would consider purchasing another Chevrolet Tahoe but
with an extended warranty!
