The Van that acts like a luxury sedan
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/28/2006.
Trim: 2003 Ford E-Series Wagon E-150 XLT, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
Handles and rides more like a luxury car than a large van.
Cons:
None I have found yet.
Overall review:
I've owned a large assortment of cars and trucks and have never had one that covers almost all the bases like this E150. I have owned several Town Cars and the ride and handling is on par with one of those. Good mieage for a large van is a consideration too since the E150 gets 17-18 hwy and 13-14 in town all with the larger 5.4L engine. Would be hard pressed to find a better built truck for the family.

It's a big, bad brute that can haul 12 people and still have power to spare. It's fun to drive, the kids love it and it gives a nice
Cons:
Some cheap interior plastic parts are prone to cracking and breakage(minor gripe). As stated b4, Ford really needs to offer 4x4 option.

Great family hauler ;-)

Pros:
When your family outgrows the Windstar, it’s time to step up to the E-350XLT! This is an excellent van. It is very comfortable for such a large vehicle and offers plenty of extra space for cargo when taking a road trip. The kids love it because they can see everything now (in booster seats anyway).
Cons:
Obviously does not get the gas mileage of the Windstar
Overall review:
King of vans!
It's great fun to be able to look down at SUVs too ;-)
