Pros:
Owned this Truck for 8 years now, it was an early production 2003, still looks great, has never gotten me stranded. Fantastic for long road trips, eats the miles with a smooth quiet ride. Very powerful and quick.
Cons:
Takes a lot of premuim fuel to keep it going.The vehicle is not happy around town, it wants to run not putter around town. Some electrical issues with the rear sensors and power windows, nothing out of the oridinary for an 8 year old luxurt ride.
Overall review:
would buy another in a second if only Ford would make one. The V6 MKX and new Explorer are not in the same league as this big dog .
It has that old muscle car feel to it. Lots of pwer just wanting to go all the time. and it is great in snow.

Life Saving Vehicle

Pros:
We bought this vehicle new and I loved everything about it looks comfort quality was great!
Cons:
We did have to replace the transmission though in 2007 and that was costly
Overall review:
We just gave the car to my 16 year old daughter and she hit a ford F150 and the damage was unbelievible the front of the car was completley smashed in and the front tire fell off and the passenger side doors flew open on impact she had two people in the car with her and nobody was injured not even a scratch on any of them I truly believe had they been in a smaller vehicle the circumstances would have been devistating!The airbags did not deploy on impact though and I don't know why but I'm glad no one was injured! I will miss this vehicle but the only thing that matters is my daughter is alive and well!

Nothing really. Maybe some more leg room.
Overall review:
I've only had it a year, but so far it's been an awesome ride! Only problem I have is that it's become my wife's vehicle. Yes, the gas mileage could be better (16 avg), but it’s a luxury SUV. What do you expect? You’re paying for quality and comfort. No luxury SUV gets good gas mileage. It’s a really nice road trip car, especially if you have kids! I say if you can get a good deal on one then get it!
