The Good, the Bad... Your Call by TooNice88 on 04/01/2004. Trim: 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Car looks fast. Manual Transmissions picks up speed quick. Ext. styling is a plus. Nice to have sun and sound pkg with fold down rear seats. 7 speaker sound system is very good for manufacturer. Guages are never blurred by sun or other car headlights. Drivers side seat adjusts to comfort. Car handles really really well and gets a lot of looks. The exhaust sounds good too, especially around 3000 rpm
Cons: I've never been in a car that had such a bad blind spot. Almost impossible to back car up and parallel park. Through reading ohter reviews, I also had my manual trans problems. Dealer completely replaced manual trans. at no charge after only 17,000 miles. Car looks 'plasticy' on the inside, specifically around the door - no comfortable place to put left arm. Also, limited leg room for driver. If your more than 6'1'', don't get a sunroof. Car is noisy on highway - even with the windows up.
Overall review: I like the car, but I don't likge the cons. Rec. not getting manual trans due to problems (although its fun to drive). The blind spot is really unbelievably bad. Note lack of back seat window. Rear spoiler gets in way of view. Given the price and avail of other cars, I'd still reccommend it, but at least you won't have any surprises.

Pros: comfort and great on gas mileage
Cons: (No data provided)
Overall review: Even with the V6 the eclipse performs great and doesn't sacrifice on fuel economy (premium fuel though). Love it would buy another

Top down get around by An MSN Autos Consumer on 09/18/2005. Trim: 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS Spyder, Owned 1 year.
Pros: IT'S got to be the attention it draws whenever the top is down and the sun is up. I have received so many comments on the styling and distinct beauty of this car. This should be a second car, for the room is not designed for a family, but is sure it equiped to provide fun,fun,fun...
Cons: I have no complaints, this replaces a 1998 GT Mitsubishi Spyder and the size of this car is bigger... the pick-up is great (from 141hp to 210hp ) and appoitments are more refined from the one it replaced.
Overall review: Great price, fun in the sun adult toy. Not for everyone but not many things in this world are for everyone !!!

Poor Overall Experience by Wisconsin Ron on 04/20/2005. Trim: 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Good mileage, rides nice when running properly.
Cons: Front rotors went four different times, all for the same reason: braking hard when traveling 55mph plus. Poor service from the technical side of the dealership.
Overall review: The car drove nicely, but the braking issue was a major frustrator. Also had an issue with collateral damage post-warranty that Mitsubishi would not support me on (fan separated from its arbor, allowing fan blades to rip a hole in the radiator). Additionally, Mitsubishi would not overnight a much needed part to the repair shop I was lucky enough to get the car to. Post-sale support is atrocious! Too bad, because I liked the car. I ended up trading it in for a BMW 318ti that I just love. Would not recommend Mitsubishi based on my experiences.

What a Dud by Cougarclaws on 08/05/2004. Trim: 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS, Owned 2 years.
Pros: It's Red.
Cons: It is a cheaply made vehicle. It has littlet low end power, and what little it does have can't be used because of a cheap clutch. The car is way overpriced, and the quality is very low.
Overall review: This car dropped in value $16500 in less than two years. The worst purchase I ever made. It was falling in value aproximately $600.00 per month at one time.
