Interceptor.. nearly bullet proof by WheelmanForHire from Anchorage on 11/07/2011. Trim: 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Base, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Excellent gran tourer. Have done the Al-Can thrice in this vehicle and I really can't imagine much better in it's price range. Drive train is built like a tank and is unlikely to fail you. Interceptor "Locker" rear differential is a dream. Handles surprisingly well for a 4000+lb vehicle with sufficient power to meet highway speed on any on-ramp.
Cons: Electrics are a mess. Light Control Modules are prone to going out (mine has) I patched it with a Dorman 599-200 LCM repair kit. Works... sometimes.. have to kick it just right to get the lights to come back on (after they go out... while driving) Mine is a Police Interceptor so between the stock wiring I have the police wiring to deal with. Despite the claim that parts are easy to find by many and being American they come cheap, this is not holding true. I've been looking for a bit of trim for the interior. Ford wants $400 for what amounts to two bits of plastic that run across the dash. The LCM from Ford is a $300 box. ($100 for the repair kit or a refurbished one)
Overall review: I've put 30,000 miles on this vehicle. Generally speaking it's a gear-heads type car. I know what I'm doing and I wouldn't trade this thing in for very much on the road. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't ready to troubleshoot oddball issues or relies on a mechanic for repairs. Can and will get expensive that way. So if you love cars and want something that's unique (Not many Interceptors being driven as non-commercial civilian vehicles) and gives you a "It's amazing enough when it works that you stick through the hard times" car. This would be one. Fuel economy ranges from just under 13-18 city to 22-25 highway depending on your driving habits.

love this car, but how about a new grill by some 42 year old looking for quality on 05/21/2010. Trim: 2003 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport, Owned 1 year.
Pros: ride, feel, safety, ac, digital display...room for my legs.
Cons: needs to be faster. lumbar support needs a redesign
Overall review: put gas in it and check the oil and your car will get you where you need to go. bought mine with 85,000 miles put 22,000 in one year......not a single anything happpened. I plan on keeping this for 3 more years or 200,000 miles then give it to one of the kids.

I love the car! by Richard from Broken Arrow, OK on 02/12/2004. Trim: 2003 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport, Owned 2 years.
Pros: I love the car! Handling is just short of crisp, acceleration is quite adequate (one doesn't buy a CV to win at the races). Whiplash upon acceleration is not a worry. Styling and general appearance are pleasant and non-offensive. It's a real pleasure to drive.
Cons: Highway mileage tops only 24 mpg, typically 22-23. The engine is much "louder" than my 1998 CV. It doesn't come with a tach or on-board computer for engine performance data, garage door opener, etc.
Overall review: A great value. I would definitely buy a 3rd one.
