My wife still thanks me by John from Houston on 06/01/2008. Trim: 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid Hybrid with CVT, Owned 6 years.

Pros: Love driving past gas stations! Best car I've owned.
Cons: The $6,000 battery gave out after 5 years. It's scary to think what will happen when it is out of warranty. I have a new one and hopefully it will be good for another 8 years. Gas mileage averages 40 mpg (if single, I would drive w/o a/c and hyper-inflate the tires.)
Overall review: We bought it more as a statement back in 2002 when gas prices were $1.28. It's fantastic now.

Will never buy anything other then Honda again. by Kris from Abq NM on 04/09/2009. Trim: 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid Hybrid with CVT, Owned 6 years.

Pros: Gas milage dont seem to be going down with age. Have had it for 7 years and can still count on 40-45mpg. Still has a smooth ride with not very many ratles like I would have expected with all the plastiky parts in the car. Have driven the car from South FL to LA and back inbetween a few times great for highways and listening to the fuel pump on the big trucks sitting next to you idel at a red light while your engine is off =)
Cons: Major problems so far with it have been the clutch for the AC and the thermostat died. Get my oil changed every 10k with that 0w20 stuff at the dealer is a bit more then normal would be but its only every 10k vs 3k so its not so bad.
Overall review: After 7 years and 80k miles in this car I am very happy with the purchase. Paid it off after 4 years and its been an almost free ride since. I still feel like the kid who took the short bus to school every day when I do put gas in it (every 450-500miles) but that will change with my next all electric car and going to keep this for trips over what ever that can do.

The Best in the Long Run! by Sue, Colorado on 07/10/2008. Trim: 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid Hybrid, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: It's the best ever, and it gets an average of 49 mpg (and that's when it needs an oil change!). We have owned several civics before, and this silver gem is quite stylish.
Cons: Only thing is that it's a 5 speed and I've come to enjoy automatics as you don't have that jolt when you shift. (My husband says it's fine!)
Overall review: Before buying this used, we did compare several other hybrids. 2003 was a great year for this model, as we compared mileage. We had considered buying a new vehicle but it didn't seem as though that would be the wise, cost efficient route with the initial outlay of money that was required.

Great Mileage, Very Good Car by Canaan, NH on 10/13/2005. Trim: 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid Hybrid, Owned 2 years.
1
Pros: Mileage. I'm getting about 51 mpg.
Cons: It's a little noisy; specifically it has more rattles than I would expect from a Honda of its age.
Overall review: Very good car. Good performance; trouble free operation. Nice set of standard options.
