Masers are back!
by Myzerati1 on 12/14/2004.
Trim: 2002 Maserati Spyder Convertible, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
There is a very solid build and finish. Unbelievably refined power and sheer fun to drive. So far, she has been dependable.
Cons:
Rear window is plastic.
Many buttons are for options not even available in the U.S.
Initial depreciation curve is quite steep.
Overall review:
Fabulous car.

Eats other automobiles for lunch
by Remy on 01/08/2004.
Trim: 2002 Maserati Spyder Convertible, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
Best sportscar for the money. Ferrari without the high price, maintenance, and poorer workmanship. Beautiful Italian machine which is much much more in person. The exhaust pop is captivating. Everyone looks at it with dreamy eyes.
Cons:
The styling could have been a little more radical and the radio quality really should be of a better quality.
Overall review:
An all around fine machine with a few flaws.

A Gem of an Automobile
by PVBHES from Ponte Vedra Beach FLORIDA on 02/08/2007.
Trim: 2002 Maserati Spyder Convertible, Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros:
Engine and performance match styling. Lap of luxury. Feel of the leather and sound of the engine are too cool. Accelleration is a sublime treat. Brakeing is top shelf. Have owned comparable vehicles but this car is in a class of its own.
Cons:
Clutch wear is too rapid. Think may be related to requirement of re-seting into automatic mode each time car started. Backing-up with top up; vision restricted with plastic rear window.
Overall review:
This a gem of an automobile. Had some initial issues and corporate Maserati folk hugely unhelpful, suprising given pricepoint of vehicle.
