Eh, what can you say
by Wendy on 05/19/2008.
Trim: 2002 Suzuki Aerio GS, Owned 4 years.
1
Pros:
It is the perfect size. Big enough to move things around but small enough to take it anywhere. I think its great on gas mileage, the only time I see this change is when its time for oil change or tune up.
Cons:
When something goes, its costly. Ball bearings, catalitic converter, electric locks, no key entery, all of it. And the warranty they sell you for 6000 isn't worth a hill of beans, nothing they say is covered is really covered, and the warranty people are not Suzuki people so Suzuki doesnt know anything about what your covered for. Suggestion, keep it in the glove box, you will pull it out often.
Overall review:
Good starter car, not a long term keep. Runner up to Kia... .

Sporty, Good on Gas Wagon
by Jeremy on 06/30/2007.
Trim: 2002 Suzuki Aerio SX S, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
It has all the options . Cruise control, keyless entry, a super nice interior, w/ cloth seats, 6 speaker stereo c/d , Digital dash, and a lot of really nice little small features, like a light that goes on when the rear hatch is opened, a light that illuminates the ashrray only when opened, etc. Like they thought of all the little things. Also, I can reach the oilfilter and drainplug without being a contortionist or getting all the way under the car--this means I do not have to go to the yutzes who run any jiffylube/lube N Tune/Lube N Whatever! I can change the oil myself AND NO WAITING!!!!
Cons:
Does not handle like a sportscar. My Toyota RAv4 handles much better. The car feels like it may go out of control if you take a curve a little too fast. In all fairness, my mother's Camry always felt like that, too...So I guess shocks/suspension would probably be the only things that would get lower marks from me. (Maybe I'll just slow down...)
Overall review:
A great inexpensive, reliable car.
