Pros:
This vehicle still cranks and is functional at 130,000. but there are several problems.
Cons:
Bad design of brake system. constantly replaceing brake pads and the berrings. I have had them replaced professionally several times and worked on them my self. ABS brake system works some of the time, might have something to do with having to replace the calipers, rotors and berrings several times. might be the front speed sensor? Transmission has been replaced twice. Interior has few problems door handles break. Heater core goes bad often. Engine leaks oil. Rear window wiper does not work. Electrical: Starter relay wire shorted out while driving. basically replaced all voltage bearing wireing, alternator, starter relay, plugs, coil pack and plug wires and still have ocasional voltage drops.
Overall review:
also front suspension alignment is not easy. The camber is not adjustible on normal front end alignment. The Steering Knuckle and Ball Joint has to be removed and the Camber adapter has to be replaced.
I have to replace the brake pads routinely. This after basically replacing all brake components rotors and berrings. also the berrings do not last long even when replaced professionally.
If you can afford to replace the wearing parts frequently this is a great SUV to drive and work on. It gets me out of the house to work on the suv frequently.
