Piece of juuk! by Mark --midwest on 01/10/2008. Trim: 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara JLX, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Easy to drive , fit in tight places
Cons: The back seat had no leg room. The engine gave out at 58,000 miles. No one including the Suzuki dealership could tell us what was wrong with the car except the engine locked up and would need a new engine. No car should need a new engine after only 58,000 miles. My wife babies her car and was never rough with it!!
Overall review: We would never buy another Suzuki!!!

Good But Could Be Better by Maggie Orange County, NY on 10/19/2005. Trim: 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara JLX, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Good in snow, good handling, easily converts from 2 to 4 wheels, roomy for small SUV, nice styling, Price is good
Cons: Expensive to keep, tires wear out after 20,000 miles, brakes need frequent replacement. Problems with the interior control display Gas tank cover fell off?!! Suzuki service says this is frequent complaint
Overall review: Good but I'll buy something different next time.

None better for its price by Eduardo Pompano Beach, Fl on 08/10/2004. Trim: 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara Limited 2WD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I can do almost anything with it as it has tons of cargo space for its size. Back seats go down and you have a fully flat cargo area. I carry my bike around in it, or up to 4 sets of golf clubs with 4 golfers. Nice platform to go to the beach, its cargo door opens fully and you have a confortable bench like rear to sit, change and dry your feet. It is confortable in long trips, good visibility all around, agile and with nice turning ratio, you can go in and out of the thightest spaces. Nice sound system and great air conditioner. Pockets all around for maps, drinks, coins, whatever. I get about 21 miles a gallon around town, better on the highway with the 5 gear and cruise control.
Cons: Acceleration is kind of sluggish for a 6 cylinder engine. Once it gets on the highway its OK. Fabric used for upholstering is easely burn with cigarrete ashes.
Overall review: I am more than happy with it after 19 k miles

MY FIRST TRUCK by SILKY SILVER IN WV on 01/29/2004. Trim: 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara JLX, Owned 2 years.
Pros: THE VERSATILITY IT OFFERS FOR LOADING WHEN THE REAR SEATS ARE LAID DOWN. I LIKE THE WAY IT HANDLES
Cons: THE QUALITY OF THE SOUND SYSTEM AND THE DIFFICULTY IN REMOVING THE CARGO "SHADE" BAR
Overall review: OVERALL I FEEL AS IF I PURCHASED A NICE LITTLE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK FOR THE MONEY. THERE HAVE BEEN NO MINOR OR MAJOR PROBLEMS IN MY TWO YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. ONE RECENT RECALL....HOWEVER, I WAS NOTIFIED IN A PROMPT MANNER AND IT WAS EFFICIENTLY RESOLVED AT THE DEALERSHIP
