Overall review:
I've owned pretty much everything, from BMW to Mercedes to Jaguar. For a fun auto, the Boxster can't be beat. It's problem free. I love it!

No Really...

Pros:
Styling is excellent. Still a head turner after 6 years with little change in styling.
Handling is pure Porsche. The connection the driver feels with the road is unparalleled. Braking is phenomenal. 6-Speed geerbox feels great.
Controls well placed, finally a cup holder. Dash gauges are perfectly designed and positioned. I have found the quality to very good, especially fit and finish. Good warranty.
Cons:
Granted a Boxster would be a dream come true with about 320 horsepower. Porsche options pricing makes the Boxster expensive. Adding some must haves add up quick. Would have got a tiptronic if it had paddle shifters. The thumb rockers are not efficient.
Overall review:
This is a daily driver. First off, I seriously doubt the people have given this car really low marks actually own one, especially those who promote purchasing some other model, most likely their favorite.
If you are looking for a true sports car, that performs well, and is truly a pleasure to drive, I suggest you take one for a spin. Personally talk to some owners, get their opinion.
It is not the fastest, or the cheapest sports car, but it is an incredible balance of performance, and styling. If you like to drive you will love driving this car.

Just Lovin' It

Pros:
Gobs of space in the bonnet and boot, something you can't get in the Mercedes, Audi, or BMW. Handles like a go-kart with more than adequate power. The 6 speed is just plain fun, smooth shifting without any problems finding the gears. In a straight line the car will accelerates like a motorcycle. The car really shines in the turns and esses - the result of nearly perfect weight distribution. The exhaust tone is just intoxicating!
Cons:
As you would expect from a German sports car, repairs are expensive.
Overall review:
I've driven sports cars from Europe (BMW) Japan (Z, Supra) and the U.S. (Vettes, Z28) and those are like "grocery getters" compared to the Boxster S. I've owned mine for a little less than a year and I always look forward to the weekends when I can drive around Oahu with the top down. Though the car is 7 years old, people still walk up to me to admire the car and the timeless styling still turns heads as I cruise around town. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Boxster S to anyone looking for the ultimate roadster.

Nice looking car but needs improvement

Pros:
Good handling and cornering
Cons:
Back killer, rear view plastic, transmission, uncomfortable, fuel
Overall review:
This car is uncomfortable, it will kill your back. Not for long rides. Very fun to drive if its just in the neighborhood. Not a City Car, very bumpy ride. The plastic rear view is poor, can't see a thing. Audio system is poor. Nice handling on turns and cornering , Poor auto transmission. for the price this car sucks..go with a BMW or Mercedes.

My Perfect Car
by BoxsterJoy on 10/24/2002.

Pros:
Most perfect paint I have ever seen. Wonderful to drive. The engine sounds great. Rare where I live. Fast. Solid construction. Easy to put top down. Lots of storage compared to competitors. Porsche and the dealer earn top marks with me.
Cons:
Why do the accessiories have to cost so much? Most expensive I have ever seen. Couldn't afford the S model.
Overall review:
The perfect car for me and what I want out of it. It really is a special driving experience. I still go look at it every night before I go to bed.
