Awesome Wagon
by Happy Owner from California on 08/06/2005.

Pros:
Perfect sized car, I can carry anything I need in it. It's very comfortable and safe and has great handling, the engine is quiet, and cruises perfectly. Sharp simple styling inside and out. Great acceleration when entering freeways -even in LA
Cons:
There's quite a bit of turbo lag. Also some people have a problem with the pop-out cup holders in front. The back seat is a little small.
Overall review:
It's great peace of mind to pass awkward SUV's and know that you can carry the same stuff they can but you can go faster with a lot better gas mileage. Also it feels great to drive in such a good looking car.

VW's personality is gnarly and makes very practical rides.

Pros:
Corrosion warranty is killer. I bought in Hawaii and moved to Japan, salt air in one inviornment and acid-rain in the other. Bumper to bumper extended warranty was modestly proced. I am 6'5", and have plenty of leg room in the fromt seats. Styling is cool. Because all parts are made in Germany, getting routine service in Japan on a car sold in the states is a dream. I have no problem getting on the expressways, the powertrain gives me no weird sounds at 90+ MPH. Good turning radius (very helpful in Japan for the small roads).
Cons:
It is black, but hey, that is my own fault.
Overall review:
After three years, I still have yet to run into any issues. When I have a problem or recall to cry aboout, I'll post it, in the meantime I am 36 months into a full on 'I dig my ride' mentality.
