Do not rear end another vehicle at 5mph.......... by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/26/2010. Trim: 2002 Ford Focus Wagon SE Comfort, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: economical, comfortable for size
Cons: minor fender bender at front of vehicle deployed both air bags breaking dash seal breaking windshield.......... replacing front bumper, front hood, windshield, two headlights and all airbag triggering equipment costs with paint,,,,,,,,,,,,$8,000. Vehicle is fully driveable except for legal requirement for windshield and headlights but blue book value $5,000 means it is scrap. Extreme repair costs from 5mph accident. Low front bumper height rode under other cars rear bumper causing enormous repair costs to Focus.
Overall review: Great car if you never hit anything.

The right specs for me. by chazl on 07/22/2010. Trim: 2002 Ford Focus Wagon SE, Owned 7 years.
Pros: Good gas mileage.Dependable, starts quickly in cold weather,Comfortable front seats.Handles well. Lots of cargo space for it's size.
Cons: Had original tires wear out at 15m. Also also warped brake disks that needed replaced early and big expense.Armrest hardware broken. Plastic glove compartment latch broke easily. No major problems for the last 35m except FM radio needs replaced. Now have 50m.
Overall review: I too am disappointed Ford dropped the wagon and I won't buy their recent models. The size is just right to fit in my small garage. The paint finish still looks like new.

Great little wagon that could! by BeeJay in Ottawa, Canada's Capital on 08/26/2009. Trim: 2002 Ford Focus Wagon SE, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Solid - responsive - compact - roomy for cargo - handy - ease of parking -almost no repairs over ownership period of 45,000 kms in 18 months. I appreciate the 7 year 150,000 km extended warranty but haven't had to file a claim yet. With other vehicles I would have needed brakes, muffler, and usually a rad by this point (140,000 kms).
Cons: Some rattling in suspension - replaced a stabilizer link, 2 tires and wheel alignment no more wobble but - it still rattles underneath after a brief respite. stiff steering would normally be appreciated, but turning hurts my arms and neck.
Overall review: A good buy - if it wasn't for spinal surgery, I'd keep it - my neck and arms hurt from steering.
