Owner
Durango SLT Plus 4x4
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 02/22/2007.
Trim: 2002 Dodge Durango SLT Plus 4WD, Owned 5 years.
2
Pros:
Very flexable and comforatble SUV.
Cons:
Power, towing, style, interior quality.
Overall review:
Smooth ride and easy to handle on and off the interstates, paved roads. Transmission is smooth and always in the correct gear when you need and no sudden "kick downs" that jar you or your passengers. Handles better than any SUV/Truck that I have owned/driven and once you get use to it, easy to park just about anywhere you want to put it. Every time my sister borrows it, it is hard to for her to return it because she enjoys driving it so much. Great overall SUV for a varity of people.

1
Pros:
very good towing capacity and better styling than the new durango's
Cons:
very problematic for only having 40,000 miles on it compared to my hondas which have 135K, 210K, and 250K
Overall review:
nice comfortable car that has too many problems for a low mileage car

R/T great for towing
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 06/16/2003.
Trim: 2002 Dodge Durango R/T 4WD, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros:
The 2002 R/T handles corners nicely and pulls our boat without any problems, even in hot weather with the air conditioning blasting.
Cons:
We really like our 2002 R/T but it's still not very good with quick breaking but we used to have a 1998 Durango that was horrible when you had to break quickly. The 2002 is better but still not great, even with 4 wheel drive on it's not the best. Wish that feature were better.
About 2 months after we got the 2002, we did have a problem where the doors kept locking and unlocking, even when the car wasn't on - it was covered under warranty, some computer malfunction.
Overall review:
R/T is great for towing long distances and handles well
